Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - May 18, 2024
Man, guys, that was an insane shift. Fury was straight outboxing and outhurting Usyk. What an amazing fighter that he changed the flow of the fight in an instant. I can't believe I doubted him.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - May 18, 2024
Should be an Uysk win but I would be surprised if he gets it.

Thankfully only judge tried to save Fury
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - May 18, 2024
Damn, by a razor margin Usyk is now the undisputed HW in the world. What an incredible fighter.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - May 18, 2024
8 rounds to 4 usyk including a 10/8. Clear imo.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - May 18, 2024
Rematch does make me nervous. Fury needs to fire whatever coach he had. Needed to come forward more and try to bully Usyk, not hang by the ropes and taunt. Still, that stretch of amazing boxing from Fury scared the crap out of me. That version is insanely difficult to deal with.

He had 3 people in his ear.. not a good sign. He needs to tell his dad to do oneMexi-Box wrote: ↑18 May 2024, 19:46 Rematch does make me nervous. Fury needs to fire whatever coach he had. Yea, they said he had Andy Lee and the other coach. I didn't know he had 3 people talking to him, though! He also had a lose a metric ton of weight, but this kind of seals it for me that he intentionally cut himself to get more time to lose weight. He would've have gotten stopped had he showed up north of 270.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑18 May 2024, 19:49He had 3 people in his ear.. not a good sign. I had is 7-4 with one round even and one 10-8 round for Usyk.
It was a decent fight. Fury was exposed by a 37 year old man,

I felt Usyk clearly won, but both did well.
When the best fight the best good things happen. Usyk was more focused and deserved the decision 100 percent.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - May 18, 2024
I may be wrong but I'm sure I heard one of his corner saying at the end of the 10th before they came back out that Fury has "won this fight". They seemed to think he was miles clear even after that spanking the previous round.Mexi-Box wrote: ↑18 May 2024, 19:52Yea, they said he had Andy Lee and the other coach. With all due respect, we’re talking about a truly outstanding 37 yr old man here thoughpound per pound wrote: ↑18 May 2024, 19:53 I had is 7-4 with one round even and one 10-8 round for Usyk.

I just want now for Usyk to do another year or two and give the young mandatories their shots. Saudis are getting these things moving, hate them or love them.

Greedy belly got caught hoarding coaches. Whoever said that needs to be fired tomorrow. You don't say stupid shit like that when the undisputed HW championship is on the line. Even though I had Usyk winning this handily, the rematch with an even more focused Fury is still making me wonder. That stretch of excellent boxing from Fury was on another level.578222 wrote: ↑18 May 2024, 19:55I may be wrong but I'm sure I heard one of his corner saying at the end of the 10th before they came back out that Fury has "won this fight". I hate it so much, but they're the only ones keeping boxing alive. Sad to see a wonder of an undisputed in some sterilized Saudi environment with only millionaires and billionaires. I hate this so much, but if that's what it takes to keep boxing alive...
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - May 18, 2024
It has historically been a gentleman's club sport, started with rich, calm people in a room watching prize fighters going at it, and it still can be so, especially in a monarchy which is not like England's or Norway's
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - May 18, 2024
I thought Uysk clearly won that fight. Tyson looked like he was getting into it in rounds 4-6, but then it fell apart.
I also thought the referee did Uysk dirty in the 9th round. His body language looked like he was going to give Fury a standing count and so Usyk backed off but he didn't - Tyson then just leaned in the ropes for about 7 seconds or so when Usyk could have dropped him.
The whole UK boxing promotion has been so biased against Usyk these past few years that I'm genuinely happy he won. And If the post fight AJ meltdown wasn't bad enough, they still have the cheek to hand the mic to Fury only seconds after interviewing Usyk.
Let the undisputed Champion have the mic and talk his talk, even if its in a language you don't understand.

I disagree with those saying the fight should have been stopped in the 9th.
Yes, Usyk battered Fury from pillar to post in that round, however, this is the biggest fight there can be and under such conditions the fighters need to go out on their shields.
What was worse was one of the judges scoring it for Fury.
This was a UD for Usyk any way you slice it.
