Would 100m do much in the war effort? That's a political question but as Usyk is Ukrainian you have to believe that there will be his money, and I suspect other finances from the fight go to the war fundinggregregegg wrote: ↑18 May 2024, 20:08 They have mentioned rematch in October, that’s pretty soon. Re: Round-by-Round: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - 18 May 2024
Great fight, the swings in momentum were incredible.
The early rounds, it looked like Usyk's non-stop pressure was getting to Fury. Then Fury began to time him wuth the body shots and uppercuts, making Usyk hesitate a lot and lowering his output. I thought it was going to be all Fury from then on, but Usyk turned it back on again.
I thought he might go out and close the show in the 10th, looked like he let Fury off the hook, although Usyk was maybe tired himself from the effort in the 9th.
Credit to Fury though, he looked completely finished when the bell for the end of the 9th went, his ability to recover is pretty amazing.
Deserved winner in the end though.

I’d like to see him retire on top too. He’s not getting any younger and as you say, he’s completed boxing now.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑18 May 2024, 20:09 It would be great if Usyk just said I'm very feel, I've complete all boxing, now I retire", mike drop....

Three people shouting at him at the same time.. WTF? Madness, complete and utter madness. It's like his own corner are trying to sabotage him. Cut to Usyk's corner and there's one clear voice.
Re: Round-by-Round: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - 18 May 2024
I'm just so happy that Usyk beat Tyson Fury. I have never rated Tyson Fury and to be perfectly honest never been a fan of him. I've always believed he has been an overrated fighter. I've never understood what people have seen that I haven't.
I don't know where Usyk goes from here I hope he retires, rather than face Anthony Joshua for the third time. I used to be an Anthony Joshua fanboy, but I just think AJ would beat him if they met for a third time.
I'm pissed as a fart and absolutely over the moon that Tyson Fury has been defeated. I knew it in my heart that Tyson Fury was never as good as everybody else thought. I'm glad I'm such an old school b****

Military equipment is phenomenally expensive.
We have donated them almost £5 billion since the Russian invasion.
The US has given them $45 billion!!

As great as Tyson fought tonight does anyone see him getting into the same shape for a rematch? I don’t see it. His heart will be broken tonight.

Very exiting fight and the right man won. I had it for Usyk by 116-112.
The fight should probably have stopped in the 9th, but as it were I'm amazed that Fury got through it. No the greatest chin in boxing history, but maybe the best recuperative power I'v seen.

I think Usyk's plan was to avoid using his big left hand and throwing with power until there was some fatigue in Tyson. He came out with it in the 8th round onward and had big success. The Gratest wrote: ↑18 May 2024, 20:12 Great fight, the swings in momentum were incredible.

That’s the difference mate. Between professionals and a bunch of chancers throwing their coppers in a wishing well…
Re: Round-by-Round: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - 18 May 2024
When Tyson Fury left the ring in his underpants he had flab hanging over is waste. When you look at his arms there are no bicep muscles he is just a big tall fella. He has limited boxing skills, and a load of followers who are telling him things he probably doesn't really need to listen to. Regardless of what people say he had very limited skill and was only good in an era that had very little decent heavyweight boxers of world class
Re: Round-by-Round: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - 18 May 2024
Yeah, but this was people who should know better. Sugar Hill is the corner man. But John Fury and Andy Lee were are also shouting instructions at the same time from either side of the corner. It was insane.MasterG wrote: ↑18 May 2024, 20:20There are a lot of hangers on who want paying

What if he'd always stepped in the ring in top physical condition like Klitschko or Holyfield?
What if he'd had a great trainer from the start?
What if he'd had discipline?
Re: Round-by-Round: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - 18 May 2024
Fury should have done the decent thing and asked the crowd for 3 hip hip hurrays for Usyk followed by 2 more bonus hip hip hoorays.
