Stands to make a fortune so he'll be back. Whether its into Usyk or Joshua remains to be seen.

Going into Joshua with two loses on his record takes a lot of the shine from that one.

Tyson is the kind of man that comes back from adversity, it makes him focus. He loves the story of an underdog and gets huge motivation from it.

Problem is, it worked for him once. His biggest defeat was his mental health struggles post Wlad.
It was a huge success story that changed him.

Can someone do that twice? I don't think so. It's almost impossible the second time when you have the glory of the first to look back on.

I'd like to see Fury in next against AJ.

Usyk? I like a happy ending. This is the pinnacle of the sport, it's what he always wanted. He beats everyone in the division. With nothing left to prove, and at 38(?) you'd forgive him for hanging up his gloves.

He can win in a rematch and there can be a trilogy.

Fury was doing well when he was on the offensive and hitting to the body, he threw it away clowning around and letting Usyk press him. Too much money involved for him to walk away and in his head he will think he won.

Fury in the post fight presser said his team told him he was ahead. I heard it between rounds and thought that was very bad advice. You can’t blame Fury for bad instructions, and fair play to him for following orders, albeit wrong.

Fury needs to put his dad in a box and trim that comer for a rematch. Usyk beat a top Fury last night let’s not discredit him. That was Usyks hardest fight.

Yes for all the people saying Fury is crap he gave one of the best fighters of his generation a very tough fight. Had his tactics and corner advice been better I think Fury would’ve won

are we talking about that being said before the 12th? when was his corner telling him tthat

surprisingly he won the 12th on all 3 cards (lost 9, 10, 11) so not sure how much that really matters if it was the 12th. dont see much indication that he was gonna floor or ko usyk even had he been aggressive. he was plastered in the 9th, still recovering in the 10th, and just getting back into it in the 11th.

Yes his corner told him that before the 12th, I'm pretty sure. We were watching the Sky broadcast. It was very clear. Insane advice. He really needs to get lose John from the team.

Tyson has poor focus. He switches off and gets lazy, it's who he is.

ah, okay then.

he won the 12th so probably not something that impacted the outcome, but definitely bad advice. unless youve actually seen the cards, you should be pushing your fighter like they need the round, unless perhaps they are facing some murderous 1 puncher or something (which usyk isnt)

Everyone hates Fury so they all want to kick him when he's down. It's understandable as he and his team are so obnoxious. The truth is he gave Usyk a very good fight. It's absurd to say he was exposed or whatever.

a lot of this reads like joyfully kicking a man when hes down, albeit fury has brought it on himself with his antics. but ultimately he fought really well and showed stones as always. He seemed to take it well in the post fight presser. the nose break was the turning point.

ultimately, a great fight where both men should be extremely proud and earned their money.

oh and big john needs to SHUT THE fornicate UP and let sugarhill work from now on.

tyson fury and his family have big mouths. and just last week someone in his corner assaulted a member of usyk's team. so when he loses after 15 or however many years of build up, youre gonna get some strong reactions. while there is some of the inevitable over the top stuff, it's more tame overall than i expected tbh

Social media is in meltdown ridiculing Fury .. this place is very tame by comparison.

I was 100% sure Usyk would be too good for Fury - but not 100% he'd get verdict if it went 12rnds.

I was very wrong regarding Fury's stamina; I expected his legs to have totally gone after 8-9rnds and for him to be holding on and fouling to survive. To his huge credit he his fouling was to a minimum and he showed fantastic stamina.

Usyk winning is good for boxing. It shows kids coming into the game that skills and dedication wins fights - not size and bad sportsmanship.

Fury's have been toxic to boxing so hopefully the end is close for all of them.

I'd rather see Fury Vs AJ next ..
Fury would outbox and out smart AJ for large parts of the fight - but ultimately AJ would catch him and if Usyk was able to put Fury into so much trouble, then AJ puts Fury to sleep for a week.

I thought it was a sensational fight. Both fighters were brilliant and showed tremendous character and fortitude.

Fury's powers of recovery are just insane. That said, I was really annoyed about that ref last night. He put Fury's health in jeopardy. The ref has a duty of care and I thought it was reckless of him not to stop the fight in that 9th round.

My preference would be for both fighter's to retire.

You’re saying Fury won the 12th round on all 3 cards?

I don’t recall that but I was a little tipsy by then

Fury was (even) better than I thought, as was Usyk. Much better fight than I anticipated and fury didn’t maul much at all (though I imagine Usyk had a lot to do with that)

Next time out does Fury maul more or is Usyk too clever and mobile to be caught in that trap?

Every reason to come back.

He is going to watch this back and see how he had it in his hands, and how he lost it.

Second fight is another 50/50 where both men stand to make a fortune and both probably appreciating that this is the biggest test for each other, and the only fight both need before retiring.

Usyk is not easy to get into a clinch, too clever.
