Re: Johnny 'The Romford Bull' Fisher
johnny has a lot of unknowns, could be chinny or something. maybe he's nervous under pressure, etc. i wouldnt say no chance babic can win but he probably does get taken out

Re: Johnny 'The Romford Bull' Fisher
Babic folded against Rozanski in the first round at bridgerweight, was walking on rubber legs after the first few flush hits. With no real defence to speak of, he'll get hit by Fisher with the same results, is my boxing casual prediction. Will be entertaining though, and will be interesting to see how Fisher reacts if Babic catches him.
Re: Johnny 'The Romford Bull' Fisher
While I'm sure Babic has been carefully selected, the problem is matching him afterwards, you can't stick him in with Croatian doormen after that, you are putting him at domestic level, so wouldnt be anyone less than a Dave allen type

Re: Johnny 'The Romford Bull' Fisher
English heavyweight title fight just been announced between Sol Dacres and Dave Adeleye. Surely the winner of that is the mando for the British.
I’d imagine Fisher may be in an English title eliminator or a World ranking title fight like the WBA continental that seems to be a lot of Matchroom prospects first titles.

some tricky, good boxing IQ opponents with no power next maybe.
Re: Johnny 'The Romford Bull' Fisher
Tom Schwarz, Tetteh or Jezewski type opponents would probably start to be relevant for him if he heats Babic. Veterans with a number of wins and may ask questions but ultimately shouldn't make it too competitive. Alternatively, a bigger British scrap might be more financially beneficial.golden_labrador wrote: ↑21 May 2024, 09:56some tricky, good boxing IQ opponents with no power next maybe.
Re: Johnny 'The Romford Bull' Fisher
Awful matchmaking .
Babic has zero chance of hurting Fisher .
But Fisher will literally walk thru & demolish Babic .
I would prefer to see him in against Adele for example .

totally agree, good step up for Fisher and this fight is so marketable.Coco wrote: ↑20 May 2024, 17:51Proper fun fight, I'm looking forward to it.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑20 May 2024, 17:41did not see that coming, feels like a cash out for Babic as there is no way he beats Fisher. I like them both, hope it happens.1111814 wrote: ↑20 May 2024, 13:18FISHER-BABIC ON JULY 6
NoSmokeSport understands that British Heavyweight Johnny Fisher will take on Alen 'The Savage' Babic on July 6 at the Copper Box Arena in London live on DAZN.
Brilliant all-action fight and a big step up for The Romford Bull.

Big step up for Fisher, I'd thought they would keep him busy but move him slowly for at least a couple of years.
He is still young and very inexperienced.
After Babic they will have to keep him at that level, especially if he wins.
Be interesting to see how he reacts to being hit back.

What a bunch of whingers
This will be an all action fight.
Two fairly limited guys banging it out.
I enjoyed the sweet science of Uysk Fury, and I'll equally enjoy these two wailing away

me too, and I think Fisher has a lot of potential as he is very early on in his career and intelligent with good work ethic. And Babic is not too dire, he fought WSB as an am iirc.

babic would be fisher's best win by miles. what is it now, stopping harry armstrong in 7? legit step up, most dangerous foe offensively for sure.

Re: Johnny 'The Romford Bull' Fisher
Yeah I'd imagine winning this will do Fisher's Europe an and WBC ranking a lot of good. The British board will obviously decide if this leapfrogs him ahead of the Dacres v Adeleye winner to be the next mandatory for the British.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑21 May 2024, 19:03 babic would be fisher's best win by miles. what is it now, stopping harry armstrong in 7? legit step up, most dangerous foe offensively for sure.
I think this is gonna sell very well I'll be honest. Fisher clearly has a bloody big fanbase which has grown from the off and Babic has a cult following too. I think the Copperbox is the perfect arena to gauge how well Fisher will do as a headliner. I think it's around 7000-8000 capacity for boxing which is about right I'd say. I reckon going 4000 or so in the Olympia is too conservative and obviously Wembley arena and the o2 would be pushing it and you want to fill those if you're going there.

Think its a good fight for Fisher tbh. Should be able to do a load of tickets and maybe merch too.
Smash Babic then call out Itauma for the saudi millions.

Re: Johnny 'The Romford Bull' Fisher
This is a great fight. Real shame it happened after babic got chinned in a round but still a great fight.
Babic offensively is miles ahead of anyone fisher has faced. Miles and miles. I back Johnny to knock out babic, but it’s a live fight.
I guess we will find out more this week. If the polish guy can be competitive vs okolie it will really boost this.
I refuse to believe anyone was expecting an opponent more dangerous than babic for fisher next. No one has ever really put it on fisher like babic can (provider he dosent get chinned first) and surprisingly babic is likely also the best pure boxer fisher has faced if he chooses to)

Fair play to the family. They’ve really monetised things and it’s crazy how big a following Big John now has.
Re: Johnny 'The Romford Bull' Fisher
If he is doing 5000 tickets at 50 a pop, that's a quarter of a million quid.
Dunno what the deal is, often ticket sellers keep half.
If they make a tenner a t-shirt, that's 50k
Big bucks, they gotta keep him winning!

I dont think we will ever see Fisher step any higher up the ladder. He's a bum--a popular bum. But he's at his level of KOing other bums.
Any higher and he will lose, and then all of his fans will dessert him. They'll keep padding his record, feeding him bum and after bum and possibly cash out on a big fight against a major British prospect with some actual talent.
