I dont think we will ever see Fisher step any higher up the ladder. He's a bum--a popular bum. But he's at his level of KOing other bums.

Any higher and he will lose, and then all of his fans will dessert him. They'll keep padding his record, feeding him bum and after bum and possibly cash out on a big fight against a major British prospect with some actual talent.

Any reason to call him a bum? He may not be a natural talent but it’s disrespectful to call any pro fighter a bum.

Agreed. John should make a concerted effort to lose weight. Tricky to do though when he’s doing personal appearances based around him ordering and eating Chinese.

Jay McFarland or nick campbell are probably the type of fights he actually needs. Both tough nights out for him if they turn up. Solid area levle guys.

He did mention Steve Robinson after his last fight. Now obviously Robinson has taken a shellacking from Babic to the point you wonder whether you want to see Robinson box again.

Nick Campbell I wouldn't mind seeing but a bit like Steve Robinson, I'm done with Jay McFarlane.

While I understand being done with jay… he is suposidly down 25kg (from very heavy) and 2 months sober…. I hope he stays sober and fit and takes some winnable fights while getting to a good weight.

Jay isn’t going past brittish levle, but he can be very decent if he is fit and if it’s trying to win or just being a solid gatekeeper for prospects, in shape, I think he adds a valuable peice to brittish heavyweight scene.

I’d like to see jay as Scottish champ vs Irish champ or English champ or somthing like that some time in the future.

Jay is very tough, he's got down to CW before and won the Scottish title there, he just doesn't seem able to stay sober for long. His upbringing was bonkers if you read about it, that lad has never known stability sadly. I remember Dave Allen looking after him for a while, he was training consistently then as he was away from Scotland.

Although he got stabbed up shortly after returning to Scotland iirc.

Can't imagine the undercard having anything great, probably your Essex and London prospects getting an extra fight in. Sains and Visioli would be two I'd definitely expect on there.

Like if Johnny shifts a few thousand they will just throw on some filler… if Johnny shifts less than 2000 I imagine they will look for a couple of extra ticket sellers (obviously not on fishers levle of sales but decent).

If Johnny is way under 2000 they might put another decent fight in to boost it more.

I wonder if they expected more or less at that point. Fisher was doing 1200 vs guys no one had heard of, so main event vs a name what is the par score?

1500 in in a few days is solid but, interesting to know if that ends up being 1800 or 5000…. The way people buy tickets is weird after Covid with a lot of last min buys and that seems to have continued (in the music industry at least) even after Covid became a non issue.

Copper box can do about 7000…. If they want it full they likely will need some help.
