Quartey is better than anybody Curry ever beat. This is a fight ! I thought De La Hoya edged IKe-barely. So, I'll say Curry by split decision.

Donald Curry by knockout. When Curry was in his prime, circa 1982-85, he was christened as the next Sugar Ray Leonard's successor.

Either Curry by decision after outboxing Quartey or stopping him late.

Ike Quartey didn't show nothing special to the public. Donald Curry, the Lone Star Cobra, beats Quartey every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

The Curry of Stafford, Starling II, Jones, and McCrory is a cut above anyone Quartey ever beat. Curry at his best would take control early and keep Ike on his back foot for long stretches of the bout. The Cobra wins this one by about 5 pts with a knockdown along the way.

Tend to agree. If this is their best vs their best, Quartey takes a beating. Curry's prime wasn't super long, but it was impressive

No fighter that Oscar De La Hoya has beaten at welterweight, would beat Donald Curry.

Curry was one of my favourite fighters back in the late 80's, early 90's.

He was so fast and accurate. He could KO you with one single, precise punch.

He was well on top vs a peak McCallum, something I have never seen.

Quartey had a fantastic, heavy jab but wasn't a match in the speed or power department.

Curry could win by either clean KO or decision, imo.

No, he's not. I give that to Oscar De La Hoya and Felix "Tito" Trinidad. Donald Curry beats both of them in the same night and twice on Sunday.

Not if Donald Curry hits him with that left hook first. I just can't see how Oscar or Tito beat someone like Curry who was almost in the level of the 4 Kings.

Curry was extraordinary extremely good. Not overrated like you think.

I don't think that Oscar nor Tito beat Marlon Starling for cripes sake.

Tito and Oscar were two overrated and overhyped super stars that got guided carefully in their careers. One fought like a robot and the other was succecptible of the left jab. Not good enough to beat a natural like Curry.

I doubt Pernell Whitaker would drop many rounds to Curry. I’d take him by 10-2
