Kab 6.
Frank 14 everyone else bump up to fill the gap.
Feels weird to have frank bellow efe… but since they fought efe has done 1000000x what frank has.

Sanchez's record since the Efe fight, two and a half years ago, would not have him in the top 20.gregregegg wrote: ↑21 May 2024, 04:08 Kab 6.

Wouldent have him in the top 100… but the efe win is a good win and notttt too long ago. So I am ok with just above wallin. Cause wallin has done 2/5ths of fck all.joshj909 wrote: ↑21 May 2024, 04:50Sanchez's record since the Efe fight, two and a half years ago, would not have him in the top 20.gregregegg wrote: ↑21 May 2024, 04:08 Kab 6.

I think a win over Gassiev is reasonable. Given Gassiev hasn't done much at heavyweight it doesn't count for much but it's just enough to keep him at 13 for me.gregregegg wrote: ↑21 May 2024, 16:45Wouldent have him in the top 100… but the efe win is a good win and notttt too long ago. Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Fury vs. Usyk / Kabayel vs. Sanchez
I did forget the gassiev win. As a general rule I really rate cruisers that go to heavy, I think they are nearly always good solid guys. But gassiev has just done nothing… if you asked me where gassiev would be in 2024 5 years ago I would have been sure of a top 15 heavy. If you made me guess where I probably would have been around 5th-8th. It’s a good win for Otto, but still.joshj909 wrote: ↑21 May 2024, 16:54I think a win over Gassiev is reasonable. Those weren't even close, both of them.

Looks like a lot are voting on Fury in the same way Fury/Wilder fans have always voted forgetting how inaccurate it looked in the long run.
Ortiz lost well against Wilder so moves up.
Wallin lost well against Fury so moves up.

Tactically voting to make their guy look good rather than voting the way they would if it was anyone else.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑25 May 2024, 04:04The Fury fans have become those fans..joshj909 wrote: ↑25 May 2024, 04:01 Looks like a lot are voting on Fury in the same way Fury/Wilder fans have always voted forgetting how inaccurate it looked in the long run.

The top 3 still are Usyk, Fury and Joshua. Personally I cant wait for some young guns to replace them I'm bored with Fury and Joshua. Still waiting on the next generation
Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Fury vs. Usyk / Kabayel vs. Sanchez
In terms of ability, maybe, but Joshua and Fury haven't got top 3 resumes over the past 2-3 years. How long can you squat on a top 3 rank without getting a top 5-10 win?tiny_acres wrote: ↑25 May 2024, 05:13The top 3 still are Usyk, Fury and Joshua. Being a fan has nothing to do with it.

Fury's big win has been exposed while most of Joshua's, since Parker, have retired. They both need a top 10 win asap to keep up with the recent resume's of the likes of Parker, Kabayel, Zhang etc. How long can they rely on old wins to prop up their record?

Added up all the votes and averaged it, Fury to #2..
I mean I know many said it was #1 vs. #2
but we had Fury at #3 before the fight.

Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Fury vs. Usyk / Kabayel vs. Sanchez
Unfortunately, he would have earned it. Zhang is ranked at 7 solely because of his wins over Joyce... I don't see it happening though.
Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Fury vs. Usyk / Kabayel vs. Sanchez
Yeah, generally, I'll argue the toss about rankings, then just accept the outcome as the average vote (my opinion is just one opinion after all). But this update does feel like an egregious case of fanboy terrorism.joshj909 wrote: ↑25 May 2024, 04:05Tactically voting to make their guy look good rather than voting the way they would if it was anyone else.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑25 May 2024, 04:04The Fury fans have become those fans..joshj909 wrote: ↑25 May 2024, 04:01 Looks like a lot are voting on Fury in the same way Fury/Wilder fans have always voted forgetting how inaccurate it looked in the long run.

Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Fury vs. Usyk / Kabayel vs. Sanchez
I'd still consider Fury the #2 guy behind only Usyk for the time being. A 2nd loss to Usyk or anyone else for that matter would undoubtedly drop him in the rankings. Inactivity would as well. Especially if the other top guys pick up more marquee wins while he's just on the shelf.
