Okolie needs to stop the bulshit and go to heavyweight.
He is 31 years old 6”5 and playing around in a made up division… 230+ okole is a problem for anyone.
His style can be bad to watch, but honestly with the heavyweight Div alive and well, and the big names basicaly on the out, why not position yourself for a 5 year run in the premier division.

Rozanski's purse against Okolie was around 250,000 euros from what I've heard with Okolie receiving a bit more than that. It was the biggest payday in Rozanksi's career.
Could be a little more for Okolie vs Lerena.

Good fight this. I don't think Lerena wins unless he puts it on OkolieSeanBrennan wrote: ↑26 May 2024, 12:45thanks Heldenjaeger.Heldenjaeger wrote: ↑26 May 2024, 10:51Rozanski's purse against Okolie was around 250,000 euros from what I've heard with Okolie receiving a bit more than that. I quite like this fight. Hopefully Lawrence keeps it clean like he did the other night and does his job. Then straight upto heavyweight & maybe go for Whyte if he is still fighting/licensed.

Bridger weight makes no sense, in that 'title' fight Okolie weighed the same as Usyk did against Furygregregegg wrote: ↑25 May 2024, 22:00 Okolie needs to stop the bulshit and go to heavyweight.

If they want to do anything they should up the CW limit slightly, maybe make it 205 or possibly 210. But to have another division where its 200-224 makes no sense.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑29 May 2024, 05:12Guys like Usyk especially and even Wilder have made the bridgerweight division redundantControversial wrote: ↑29 May 2024, 05:02Bridger weight makes no sense, in that 'title' fight Okolie weighed the same as Usyk did against Furygregregegg wrote: ↑25 May 2024, 22:00 Okolie needs to stop the bulshit and go to heavyweight.

Re: Lawrence Okolie vs. Kevin Lerena - WBC Ordered
Quite! It's not about lacking the weight, but the talent/confidence to compete at HW. A division for non-elite fighters to ply their trade and claim to be world class. About as valid as a WBU title but with the smoke and mirrors of more recognised initials. Okolie shouldn't be part of it.Controversial wrote: ↑29 May 2024, 05:02Bridger weight makes no sense, in that 'title' fight Okolie weighed the same as Usyk did against Furygregregegg wrote: ↑25 May 2024, 22:00 Okolie needs to stop the bulshit and go to heavyweight.

They should put cruiser up to 215 and introduce sinething between light heavy and cruiser at 195 lbsControversial wrote: ↑29 May 2024, 05:19If they want to do anything they should up the CW limit slightly, maybe make it 205 or possibly 210. The undisputed heavyweight champ is 223 no weight cut… bridger can easily be 240 if they want. Probably near 250 if they are comfortable doing silly weight cuts.Controversial wrote: ↑29 May 2024, 05:02Bridger weight makes no sense, in that 'title' fight Okolie weighed the same as Usyk did against Furygregregegg wrote: ↑25 May 2024, 22:00 Okolie needs to stop the bulshit and go to heavyweight.

Re: Lawrence Okolie vs. Kevin Lerena - WBC Ordered
Quite like Lerena as a fighter but the main worry for me is how he seemingly struggles to put the foot down and take the chance to finish an opponent off when they are in trouble, showed this against both Dubois and even more so v Huni, was willing him on to try and let his hands go and go for broke but whether it's a lack of killer instinct, an engine issue or mixture of both I'm not too sure. On form he's a pretty neat operator, compact and tough, just seems to miss the finishing touch at the top level it seems. Would like him to change that in this one, should it go ahead. I do remember him posting on here a while back saying he didn't want to be registered on BR at Bridger, may have changed his mind since.

Here it is, was a bit further back than I thought, knew I hadn't imagined it

Please re instate me in the world cruiserweight division on boxrec where I was in the top 10 ( I think I was at #5 ) . I am not campaigning in that Bridgerweight division.
I made the decision to stay at cruiserweight as I am the current IBO Cruiserweight Champion , #2 in the WBA , #4 in the ring magazine and the IBF will put me back at number 2. I could possibly be fighting for the WBA world title in June. I have informed the wbc that I will not be participating in the new “ Bridgerweight “ division and I am campaigning at cruiserweight where I’m currently a champion.
Please could you confirm receipt of this and let me know when it shows my rating back in the cruiserweight world rankings on boxrec. Thanks so much

Many of the 29 boxers ranked at bridgerweight by the WBC are not ranked by boxrec at all. Same for the WBA bridgerweight boxers. Zhaoxin Zhang and Evgeny Romanov both lost their boxrec rankings since I made that post.
I'll happily repeat myself, the way boxrec is handling this is immature and unprofessional. There's clearly an agenda behind the decision making, not good enough.

I asked this before and adding a new division in requires a massive recoding of the website, so Boxrec were / are waiting to see if the division actually survives before committing to the coding update.Heldenjaeger wrote: ↑30 May 2024, 09:45Have a look here:Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑30 May 2024, 06:27But BoxRec wasn't removing boxers cus they campaigned at BW was they?
