Mares was a decent fighter, who was capable of getting physical (and dirty) with his opponents. I mean, all those low blows, groin shots... More than once, Mares was having a ref that was allowing him that dirty stuff (particularly, against Agbeko and Moreno).

If he gets another "friendly" ref against Loma, then he might try to pull a Salido on Vasyl (which is a right attitude, even if not a clean one). However, Mares wasn't as relentless, as Salido...

I actually foresee a competetive 1st half of the fight. Loma will take some time to settle in. Past the midpoint, I expect Loma to pull away on the scorecards and even punish Mares a little in late rounds.
