Andreas Katzourakis vs Kudratillo Abdukakhorov
US card on DAZN this Friday, super welterweights, Greek born Katzourakis is 12-0 with 10 early, Abdukakhorov is 22-2( I think), from Uzbekistan, has a points win over Luis Collazo and one of his losses was to Crowley

good first fight between espinoza and rivera
now we have some attempted hype job on a woman who is showboating vs a short, tubby 19-20 opponent
and someone in the crowd interviewed, their title being 'influencer'

lol, they must have had something in the contracts or something that all fighters had to come to the ring making an X sign with their arms. all of them have done it. show is called otx. i get it, X, but it's kinda corny

Re: Andreas Katzourakis vs Kudratillo Abdukakhorov
good fight here between andreas and kudra, kudra got off to a hot start and rockd andy a couple times early, but katz looks to have the better engine and has been getting the better since around the 4th or 5th, kud lost some steam on his shots but still working

katz not particularly fancy, doesnt look a big hitter or especially hard to hit, but man is fit

Re: Andreas Katzourakis vs Kudratillo Abdukakhorov
katz should take a decision here, not a bad fight
there was a draw earlier and the dudes fought an overtime round, that seems to be the big 'thing' about this overtime boxing series

katz wins the decision, next he'll fight robert terry, who showed some quickness and mobillity in winning his fight on the undercard
Re: Andreas Katzourakis vs Kudratillo Abdukakhorov
Was close but personally i had Abdukakhorov. He was landing more shots. Katz was lucky to get the decision here.

Re: Andreas Katzourakis vs Kudratillo Abdukakhorov
disagree, after the third kud lost a lot of steam on his shots and was getting bullied and tagged plenty. competitive but clear katz w for me. had him losing the first three, then winning the last 7
Re: Andreas Katzourakis vs Kudratillo Abdukakhorov
We must of been watching different fights. To give 7 consecutive rounds is reaching. Many were razor close, not overly dominant at all. I would have been okay with Kud winning tbh. Good fight, was tough to split them.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑01 Jun 2024, 00:42 disagree, after the third kud lost a lot of steam on his shots and was getting bullied and tagged plenty. competitive but clear katz w for me. had him losing the first three, then winning the last 7

Re: Andreas Katzourakis vs Kudratillo Abdukakhorov
rounds can be closely won by the same guy repeatedly. close rounds doesnt mean a close card necessarily. it was competitive but after the third kudra didnt have the same steam katz did. whatever he did, katz came back with even more. kudratillo also spent increasingly more time pushed back to the ropes. his punches didnt shake up katz like they did early on either. katz walked through them and by the end was having fun. could feasibly be a few different scores, but right man won
fair play though, it's boxing and we all see fights a bit differently

Re: Andreas Katzourakis vs Kudratillo Abdukakhorov
Had it 96-94 Abdukakhorov, no issues with the draw or same score for Katzourakis but that 98-92 was classic home cooking, Abdukakhorov was quicker out the blocks, very well schooled, head/body , lead/counter, lefty/righty, took the first 3 rounds on my card but Katzourakis kept coming forward, kept pressuring and started getting his own shots off, it was a great fight, every round competitive and the action was like a pendulum, some great exchanges, Katzourakis super fit and strong but cleaner effective punching was from Abdukakhorov imo

what do we think about draws having an 'overtime' round to decide a winner

Re: Andreas Katzourakis vs Kudratillo Abdukakhorov
Im all for it, draws are meaningless in boxing, it's not like football where both still get a point, if the judges can't split them then box another round and the winner can move onmargaret thatcher wrote: ↑01 Jun 2024, 02:37 what do we think about draws having an 'overtime' round to decide a winner
