No fighter that Oscar De La Hoya has beaten at welterweight, would beat Donald Curry.
I doubt Pernell Whitaker would drop many rounds to Curry. I’d take him by 10-2
Oscar didn't beat Sweet Pea. They gave it to him. And yes, Donald Curry would have beaten the great Pernell Whitaker at 147lbs.
Curry before the Lloyd Honeyghan fight was considered the best fighter pound per pound in the world with the great Marvelous withstanding. What a fighter!

I certainly agree that de la Hoya was lucky to get that call too. But according to the official records, he got the win.
Sweet Pea would have boxed the ears off Curry, Donald would be lucky to land
Whitaker could have won the fight with De La Hoya, but he simply did not throw enough punches. Oscar missed plenty, but through enough to make up for it.

Donald Curry, The Lone Star Cobra, whups both of them. Twice on Sunday.
