Definitely and I feel there's a real chance now with Wilder having a decent relationship with Hearn. Making him captain was a clever move I think.Cyclops wrote: ↑31 May 2024, 20:08To be honest I'd completely forgotten that even being an option but that is a brilliant lost fight.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑31 May 2024, 14:41 I've no idea who will win, I hope Wilder does though as I'd love to see him fight AJ.
I hope so too for this reason.
What a cracker that one would still be!

Yeah Wilder needs to retire, he looks gun shy these days, lacks confidence and his usual bravado and tough talking is a distant memory.

against the 3 guys he didnt beat, zhang scored 6 knockdowns (3 jerry, 2 joe, 1 fillip), 5 of them within the first 3 rounds
if only this man had a gas tank in the 2nd half, he'd be a monster. as is, he's still pretty scary

Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Zhilei Zhang | PPV - 1 June 2024
Thats it for Wilder, he has been found out at the highest level. Back to back losses to Fury, Parker, Zhang, where can he go from here? He should retire, he made a fortune during his career so cashing out should not be his motivation but who knows, if he wants one last pay day against Joshua fair enough, but he'll get sparked again and only aid in further tarnishing his already damaged legacy. He is done, IMO.
Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Zhilei Zhang | PPV - 1 June 2024
I think Wilder knew long ago he was done and was cashing out last two fights.
You could see against Parker he wasn't right and couldn't pull the trigger.

Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Zhilei Zhang | PPV - 1 June 2024
I don't think he's any different. He's just a terrible fighter who relies on one punch. When has he ever shown a good jab for example? Hes a one punch merchant who was able to land it and turn fights around. He was usually losing those fights. How long would he last against the likes of Tyson, Lewis, Bowe, Holmes, Holyfield, Liston etc? It's not a case of if he would win, it's a case how how long he would last.
For my money it would be:
Tyson KO1
Lewis KO1
Bowe KO1
Holmes KO4 (he liked to soften you up with the jab)
Holyfield KO2 (he would rip Wilder up inside)
Liston KO1

Probably couldn’t believe his luck! Found himself in an era of total blandness and made hay. Salute the guy. Did well.

not the first case relating to wilder being physical with a woman. remember when he choked a prostitute in a misunderstanding
how about it sean, maybe deontay and chisora fit right in together

Deontays another one with some screws loose not helped by heavyweight blows to the head, him and his brother jumped Dominic Breazeale in the lobby of some weigh in or press conference, but he did also chase Billy Joe Scumbag out of the Nandos in Shaftesbury Square, Imagine a group of Gypsies being chased by a group African Americans into the middle of UVF controlled Donegall Pass which is nearby , or even Sandy Row, where the UDA still lurk
