Femi is a good boxer with nice fast hands, but to beat Johansson you need a hard punch as well. Think Carl will break him down for a later round stoppage.states wrote:Does anyone like Femi's chances against Johansson? I sure as hell don't.
Nice boxer, but I really don't see how he keeps Carl off him for the distance.I'll be the first to applaud if he does though.

Johansson isn't just a pure puncher, he places his shots well and has a good jab to set up his shots, until the shock 1 round loss he suffered i rated him the best in the super feather division in this country, Johansson has said that he had alot going on outside of the ring when he suffered that loss, but it will always raise question marks over his chin.
I'd still rate Johansson over Mitchell and Murray. And i think he would be 50/50 against Alex Arthur.

Yeah i think the TV companies got pissed off with promoters trying to pass off bad quality WBU and WBF world title fights. At least Skelton showed what to do with the WBU title, he threw it away so he could keep the British title.
Seems to be coming full circle and we are getting good competitive fights for the British title again, The super feather's have got to be the division to watch, with Arthur, Johansson, Mitchell and Murray leading the way and boxers such as Femi not to far behind them.
Also at another level you have Pacman , Valero , Morales, Barrera at the top with a host of great contenders on the world stage.
Couple of other interesting fights that have been nominated:
S. Bendall v Wayne Elcock for the english middle title
N. Wright v Gary Reid for the english light welter
Lee Meager v Jon Thaxton for british lightweight

I thought Johannsen looked awesome the first time I saw him fight, beautifully compact and balanced, lovely combination punching, and and a nice tight guard. Was surprised when I heard he had been flattened. Who knows, maybe he can put that behind him, because he looked like the finished article before, but maybe he has suspect whiskers.Terence wrote:I liked his punching in the last fight, nice, well-placed shots and he looks worringly strong.
I like this fight as it will give him a target to track down and you are right in that Femi lacks the dig to hold him off for long periods.
Even though both men have a lot to do in the business it is good to see a match between two promising British fighters, it is becoming the norm (good fights for the British title) rather than fighters being built-up for a WBU/WBF title bonanza that never transpires.
