Zhang to 5
Wilder OUT
Dubois to 6
Hrgovic to 9

These now feel a bit all over the place because of Parker/Zhang/Dubois/Joyce/Hrgovic but these are my rankings:
1. Usyk
2. Parker
3. Zhang
4. Dubois
5. Kabayel
6. Joshua
7. Joyce
8. Hrgovic
9. Fury
10. Bakole
11. Makhmudov
12. Ajagba
13. Anderson
14. Wallin
15. Whyte

With the division finally moving fast, Bakole, Makhmudov, Ajagba, Anderson, Wallin and Whyte need a top fight booked asap. Dubois, Parker and Kabayel have got themselves into top 5/10 positions and mandatory title shots with some big money opportunities because they've jumped in as an underdog against a highly ranked opponent, the others should be taking note.

Knocking Wilder out of the top 15 denigrates both Zhang’s and Parker’s victories over him. I would like to see him retire, which would (obviously) eliminate him from the top 15, but, until those below him do something notable, Wilder deserves his presence there.

wilder has won a single fight in the last 4.5 years, lost 4 of his last 5. arguably didnt win a round in 3 of those fights

hrg and parker did far better vs zhang, beating him rather than getting brutally ko'd. joyce did better in fight 1 vs zhang than wilder did too, and obviously jerry forrest did as well

pretty much everyone did better vs parker than wilder did. jack massey won 3-4 rounds vs parker, joyce ko'd him, chisora pushed him to a split decision and dropped him. junior fa won about 4 rounds

nganou did better vs fury, and hell wallin did too, at least from the first wilder loss

you can only cling on to a spot for so long without deliver meaningful results. he's going on 1 win in 5 years, vs an unranked opponent, which cant be said of anyone else we rate. he doesn't even fare well comparing how good he did in losses, and he looked awful to the eye his last performances. he's now #36 on boxrec by the way

Fury
Fury
Parker
Zhang
And who did he beat in the years before that which makes him worthy? Old man Ortiz 5 years ago who never had a top win? Most of the guys ranked 10-15 have an argument that they have beaten someone in the past few years that would beat Ortiz from 5 but years ago. Take away Wilder's belt and nobody bats an eyelid about his career.

losing a bunch to top opposition only goes so far anyway in freezing someone's fall, it doesn't grant a top 15 for life card, especially when many other fighters, including guys we dont rank are being much more competitive in their fights vs the same opponents

derrick chisora, junior fa, jack massey.........all did better vs parker than wilder did
jerry forrest outperformed wilder vs zhang
ngannou dropped fury and lost only by split, he didnt get flattened

and of course we have the ranked guys like hrgovic beating zhang, joyce beating parker too. not like winning 0 rounds in his fights vs parker and zhang is particularly impressive

delboy chisora woulda beat pretty much every title challenger that wilder did

fwiw, as far as computerized rankings go that dont give bonus cred for holding a belt, wilder currently #36 on boxrec, and even before zhang flattened him was #19 in the ibo's rankings. they havent updated for june

and we have wilder ranked anyway at the times of parker and zhang beating him, so not really sure what this stuff about denigrating their wins is all about

Look, I have NEVER been impressed with Wilder. I just think that he has done more than numbers 12 and below, even in losing. Obviously I am in the minority, which I am used to.

Hopefully he just retires.

vs parker and zhang he did nothing while losing. many fighters did more, including unranked ones. he didnt do anything in the first fury loss either. he's still in our top 15, so zhang and parker still get credit for beating a ranked fighter at the time (it would be interesting to track this for everyone we have ranked), it's not denigrating them to vote him out finally

i agree though, now would be a good time for retirement, he's made loads of money and doesnt need to be absolutely steamrolled yet again

"Super" or "Regular"?

Also, no way can they allow Don King to get his hands on the WBA title...

I also saw rumours that Hunter lost his fight recently but it hasn't been recognised by Boxrec? What's going on there?
