He'll have to survive some rocky moments, I suppose. But ultimately, Jirov had too much class for Dorticos.
Cuban was big and strong. But he was a little too limited and repetitive in his offense. He managed to make Murat Gassiev look like an absolute craftsman in their WBSS semi-final bout.
Cuban fought hard in there, but technically - he was firing off that same one-two combo over and over again. And I remember Gassiev countering him to death. Dorticos never made any serious adjustments.
Unless Jirov gets into firefight - he'll win a wide decision.

good match up
jirov gets very highly rated but was a bit of a can crusher. i dont rate him any higher than briedis, gassiev, or that tier of the next best cruisers under usyk. my guess is it would be a close fight, jirov coming forward, not being hard to hit, dorticos landign some good rights and shaking him up a few times. jirov with steadier pressure and good fitness outworks dort, is able to work from more ranges, and is tough enough to get through the big shots to edge a close decision
