Tyson Fury drunk and booted from bar

Post by Controversial »

Video footage of Tyson Fury has been released showing him pissed off his nut, being booted out a bar in Morecombe and collapsing face first into the pavement.

Was just going to post this.

Just to add, Uysk was on a podcast recently (he hardly does them) and although he's due to have a rematch with Fury, he was opening up and talking about him in very respectful way almost as if Fury had already retired.

Usyk is highly intelligent and it goes unnoticed because of the language barrier. But it made me think that he doesn't believe the second fight will happen.

Fury getting escorted from the bar for being too drunk makes me think so too.. :OhYes:

Good man, makes him seem all too human doesn’t it? He’s clearly been on a Leo Sayer and one too many tequilas poor chap - bit of a grim looking bar there though

His wife seems to love him a lot and I’m glad to see that, cause he does need looking after

Whatever way you look at it, it's not a good sign.

I'm sure Tyson is struggling with his first loss, and he's already got addiction issues.

Being so hammered you can't even stand up is never a good thing, let's be honest. We may have all done it, but none of us as far as I am aware professional athletes at the very top of our sport.

If he's serious about winning the rematch, he will need to get all of this behind him.

Every additional day he spends doing this, is another wasted day in camp trying to undo the damage.

Booted from bar???
Helped out, left nicely, because he was wasted, after spending a day enjoying himself, being nice to everyone, the locals dont have a bad word to say about him.
It's June, the rematch is in December

His fight isn't until the end of the year so that doesn't matter too much. If this happens a couple more times then we can have our concerns about the rematch.

Hundred million in the bank, few pints with the boys. Not like he was chinning women on the cobbles, play on.

His fight is 5 months away, if he goes in camp now he will go mental, is having 27 pints probably isn’t great, but I don’t see a giant issue here if he has a plan.

Ordinarily, fighter having a few drinks in his downtime after a fight and plenty of time before his next fight would not be a problem. Of course I hope I'm wrong but the two differentiating factors here:

1. He's so drunk. It's not like he's having a few beers with his mates, he can't walk.

2. He's regularly admitted to addictive tendencies.

Let's just hope it's him letting off some steam and he will be back in the gym soon - it's clearly not a good idea for him to be on booze. Most of us have had evenings where we've had a few too many but at his age, as a family man and a professional athlete, doesn't look great.

I agree. Of course those will say 'we have all done it' but we aren't all in this mans position. I cannot remember in recent years anyway a top professional athlete being in that sort of state. Let's hope it's a one off but for a man who has dangerous addictions those around him should be making sure he isn't getting in this state

I don't think this will lead to the cancellation of the rematch, if it does, do we have to watch Usyk batter Dubois again? Pretty poor mandatory from the IBF if that's the case. I think most of us are expecting Joshua (or someone else) to beat Dubois before he gets the shot but it would likely get called if the Fury fight is cancelled.
