Jon Pegg must be the most multi-skilled man in boxing, currently cuts man for Woodall's corner. What a gent.

6th round stoppage loss for Richards, difficult to see where he goes from here sadly especially in light of his fighting style. Good win for Woodall, sad possible end for Richards.

Baraou poibnts win, such accurate punching, Mcgowan was so brave and throwing to the end, busted eye and nose and covered in blood. His stock rose in defeat. I personally would have liked Gallagher or a compassionate ref to pull this a few rounds ago though, that was a lot of damage incurred. Well done to both. Waiting on decision but that was clear cut.

UD PTS WIN BARAOU

As ever with me, but does anyone know what the purses would have been for this.

Victory by 6, 9 and 8 on the judges scorecards.

Toward 2nd round stoppage, excellent timing of distance and the shot. He is a class prospect.

How good is Baraou?

Could he mix it at world level?

He's looked really good the two times i have seen him but his opponents have been limited and a bit tailor made. Lovely use of angles and shot selection.

Like to see him v kelly, but think kellys just looking for a title shot. Went inactive since Williamson, 2 fights in 18 months and nothing booked. Lost all momentum.

118-110 Baraou, incredible bravery from McGowan as always but he took a trimming in there, only his heart kept him in it, he never stopped throwing, he was battered and bloodied, Baraou hurt him a couple of times, especially with the uppercut in the 9th but he still kept coming, Baraou a level above though, volume and accuracy, matched McGowan for workrate and fought McGowan at his own game, fought mostly at close quarters Baraou whipped in hooks and uppercuts up close and took everything McGowan threw, a class apart

No sympathy for Lerrone Richards, he had the world at his feet, British, Commonwealth and European champ then pissed about ducked fights and constantly stunk the joint out , full credit to Woodhall

As I said before the fight it was poor stuff from the promoters/board allowing McGowan into the headliner.
He's a great little warrior but was way overmatched and took an unnecessary beating.

Not acceptable IMO.
