01:11 Hopkins is wiping his eye with his glove. The cut on his eyelid has started to drip blood once again and Bernard Hopkins better pray it doesn't worsen because it's already a problem and could turn into a much bigger one if the cut widens. 6:2
01:11 * Blood is trickling from the cut over Hopkins's eye; it has to be impairing his vision somewhat and it's definitely bothering him if the amount of blinking he's doing is any indication. And it looks like . . . yes . . . Referee Kelly is notifying the timekeeper to stop the clock. He wants the doctor at ringside to take a look at Hopkins's facial wound. 6:2
01:11 * After some dabbing and swabbing and talking to the fighter, the doctor has concluded that the fight needn't be stopped. He's going to allow the action to continue. Re: Event#27..Carpentier vs Tiozzo....Gibbons vs Hopkins...Spinks vs RJjr...Lineal,WBC,WBOchampion Charles vs Tunney
Thunderous start from Tunney there... Charles did well to steady the ship, maybe he squeaked in at the end? Who knows.
One thing's for sure that draw could make all the difference in the ed when it comes to the final tally.

Re: Event#27..Carpentier vs Tiozzo....Gibbons vs Hopkins...Spinks vs RJjr...Lineal,WBC,WBOchampion Charles vs Tunney
Yes, kind of got my hopes up after the disastrous Greb loss. Charles done very well to claw it back and probably should have knicked it but I'm not complaining, got a point on the board.
B-Hop losing on cuts again. Not sure how many times but to be fair, Gibbons was bossing that fight.
Spinks breezing to a win over RJJ. Pretty surprised with RJJ, this season. LH is his weight and, though am not sure what his ranking is, he has disappointed a bit, this season. That said, the competition has been fierce.
The 'Orchid Man' punching seven shades out of his compatriot was a nice read, given that Tiozzo (like Braehmer) has caused a few upsets this season.

Re: Event#27..Carpentier vs Tiozzo....Gibbons vs Hopkins...Spinks vs RJjr...Lineal,WBC,WBOchampion Charles vs Tunney
We felt like Charles had edged it by the end, but because of Tunney's excellent start, and Charles having to scratch his way back we can't put up much argument for the draw. It's a shame Charles and Tunney didn't cross paths more in the season, seems like an excellent matchup.
