Corruption, incompetence, and the curious case of Tony Weeks

Post by Luckybattles »

Just saw tony weeks officiating a TV fight on ESPN. How does this man continue to get work after a series of unexplainable disasterous and absurd performances. Shame on Top Rank and the alphabet soup.

lol, as soon as i saw him sitting ringside, i checked to see if he was the main event ref

boxing in general is absolutely horrendous for accountability, for refs and judges. they can f@ck up ovver and over and keep getting big time assignments. the same little group of them are in it together. most jobs arent as forgiving

Tony Weeks is definitely one of the more high profile referees who consistently does a poor job.

I’ve not seen any evidence of corruption as such, but i agree with this post
In the last few years Tony has dished up some of the worst refereeing I’ve ever seen.
How he continues to get to officiate big events has me stumped.

- Well, He did allow Maidana to beat up TBE TUE in their first fight so badly that Tony was banned by the l'l MGM fraud.

I'll never forgive him for literally throwing his 250lb carcass across lightweight Casamayor who was rising after a JMMarquez KD in a very tight fencing match that was a Draw at the time of that disastrous 11th round stoppage.
