Title: “Ezzard Charles vs. Gilgamesh: A Managerial Showdown”
By Sports Correspondent, Buzz Box
In a shocking revelation that has sent shockwaves through the simboxing world, Ezzard Charles, the reigning Unified Light-Heavyweight champion, finds himself embroiled in a bitter dispute with his manager, Gilgamesh. The issue at hand? Money—specifically, the hefty chunk of Charles’s earnings that Gilgamesh allegedly pockets.
The Golden Goose and the Greedy Manager
Ezzard Charles, known for his lightning-fast jabs and ironclad defense, has become a household name in the boxing community. His recent victories over top contenders have solidified his status as the undisputed champion, holding the coveted Lineal, IBF, WBA, WBC, and WBO belts. But behind the scenes, a different kind of battle is raging—one that threatens to tarnish Charles’s legacy.
Gilgamesh, the enigmatic manager who has guided Charles’s career from obscurity to superstardom, stands accused of siphoning off a staggering 50% of the champion’s earnings. The boxing community, once united in admiration for Charles’s skills, now finds itself divided. Is Gilgamesh a shrewd negotiator securing the best deals for his fighter, or a ruthless opportunist bleeding Charles dry?
The Numbers Don’t Lie
Our investigation reveals a financial arrangement that would make even the most hardened fight fan wince. Charles’s multimillion-dollar purses, earned through blood, sweat, and countless rounds in the ring, are allegedly split down the middle. While Charles trains relentlessly, Gilgamesh reportedly lounges in luxury, counting stacks of cash.
Promoters, trainers, and fellow fighters have weighed in on the controversy. Ezzard's Co-Promoter "Money Bags Malone" defends Gilgamesh, arguing that the manager’s cut is standard practice. “Managers take their share—it’s the cost of doing business,” says Malone. “Gilgamesh has Charles’s best interests at heart.”
But not everyone agrees. Current Commish and CEO of GoldenBuzz Promotions, pulls no punches: “Fifty percent? That’s highway robbery! Charles deserves better. He’s the one risking his health in the ring.”
The Showdown
As the boxing world awaits Charles’s next title defense, tension mounts. Will the champion confront Gilgamesh? Will he demand a fairer deal? Or will he continue to fight for glory while his manager lines his pockets?
One thing is certain: The New York SimBoxing Times will be ringside, reporting every blow, both inside and outside the ropes. Stay tuned for updates as this saga unfolds—a tale of ambition, betrayal, and the high-stakes world of championship sim -boxing.

Rumors and lies cannot hurt my relationship with my fighters. They know I'm on their side, and my loyalty or fairness to them has never been a question in their minds.
Fitz gave me quite a tongue lashing about not getting into the Super Six, but I assured him that if it were up to me he'd have been there.
As for your article. I showed it to Ezzard Charles himself, and he got as far as this

Before Scoff laughing and saying "Some reporter! This f*cking guy doesn't even know what weight Class I'm Champion of."
And with that, he got back to training and preparing for his next bout. Always a Professional. I can't say the same for this reporter, and his libelous claims.

To be fair that was a very lightweight typo made by our new typeset clerk Amanda. However The commission is relieved that the entire light heavyweight divisional participants do not have to gain weight in order to please Charle's manager regarding this petty and quite minor infraction.gilgamesh wrote: ↑27 Jun 2024, 13:43 Rumors and lies cannot hurt my relationship with my fighters.
