I kind of understand the ufc prices in the uk, they rarely do PPV cards so charge alot of money when they do, plus they are in 20k arenas!….charging £75 for the back row of 80k Wembley is a disgrace!mickey1975 wrote: ↑28 Jun 2024, 15:30The back rows were always £40 before but sold for over £100 on Viagogo and StubHub all day long. Cheapest for UFC are £187.

Wonder why they have decided to change the price format so much for this event?? Obviously it’s a great card but all it’s doing is pricing people out!mickey1975 wrote: ↑28 Jun 2024, 16:40I agree, my point is this wasn't a problem before.aidenp25 wrote: ↑28 Jun 2024, 16:31I kind of understand the ufc prices in the uk, they rarely do PPV cards so charge alot of money when they do, plus they are in 20k arenas!….charging £75 for the back row of 80k Wembley is a disgrace!mickey1975 wrote: ↑28 Jun 2024, 15:30

ya, his talk to daniel dubois is all based around deontay wilder not being around , makes sensemickey1975 wrote: ↑28 Jun 2024, 16:23The general consensus on social media is he's found his balls now Wilder has retired. The Gratest wrote: ↑28 Jun 2024, 16:21Well whoever wrote the lines, surely the could come up with a better one than 'I'll throw this chair across your face'?
in fact, i hear the consensus is also that before aj says anything, he looks around to see wether wilder is in the area or not, and if he doesnt see him only then does he speak.

To be allowed that capacity you need to sell x amount in coach packages. This is always a hard sell.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑28 Jun 2024, 17:26 Joshua/Dubois It will be a sell out, Turki wants 100k in there.

To be fair, it's what type of social media group your viewing that gives the 'consensus'.
Mick, to his credit, freely admits to being a die hard Fury fan Bois, so it's totally understandable the ultra pro-Fury groups he visits will all spout their delusional nonsense about AJ.
Sports fans are very fickle, you really are only as good as your last fight.
The 'consensus' of the social media I see is stating Wilder was always sh1t; Fury turned to be a fraud too .. and AJ has now became the pre-Ruiz destroyer again.

AJ gets nervous when bombs are flying his way
and Big D is bringing the TNT
He’s battle hardened now, with a few fierce baptisms of fire behind him: there’s no way he’s scared by AJs bluster.
Hopefully his trainer is drilling him well to avoid those early right hands. Great win last time out but also a timely warning

there is no such thing as overpriced or underpriced until you see whether a fight sells out or not, it's simply a supply/demand question. . I'm a private equity lawyer who now advises start ups. If you've charged too much and don't get your revenue you've messed up. If you sell out immediately you charged too less.
I'm not saying I agree with the philosophy but it's the basics of capitalism.

I fancied treating myself to this one, never been sat ringside at a really big HW fight
Blocks A-D are £2.5k per ticket, I’m not even sure how close to the ring they are
That’s silly money
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois | PPV - 21 September 2024
Had a look yesterday. Wembley is such a ball ache and a sh*t Venue for boxing but I would’ve considered going if it was reasonable prices for something decent. Turned out all that was left was the gods and they were really expensive, like nearly £300 for 2 tickets just to squint at the screen (which we had to do to watch Fury-Whyte, couldn’t even really see the actual boxers and no real atmosphere up there) just not worth it to watch the fight from that far away.
I dunno how much a half decent seat was but I imagine probably a lot of money. I enjoyed Froch Groves 2 but other than that I don’t think boxing works in stadiums. It’s a shame as I like the fight and think it will live up to expectations. Dubois has been in with some quality fighters and must have learned a lot from his defeats, and has a bit of momentum now with some good wins. I think he’ll get stopped again but he could do it!

For big shows, you get the best ringside seat on the tv
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois | PPV - 21 September 2024
Yeah Stadiums arent the best places to go to watch boxing. You got a bad view 90% where you can buy tickets. I have only been to a couple of stadiums shows and for the money you better off watching at home. Feel like most people go just to post about it on socials.

I've had lots of emails from Queensbury about tickets for this one. Don't think I'll bother, stadium fights are pretty crap unless you're towards the front.
