22-0 Super Lightweight Rafferty fights India's Jaishankar who's about 11-5 tonight on DAZN in Liverpool, I seen Rafferty ice Appleyard in a round in his last fight to win the Commonwealth title, not sure if he still holds the title but it's not on the line tonight

I’ve seen quite a bit of Rafferty over the years but he’s seems to have been somewhat held back rather than stepping up.

He was supposed to be defending his commonwealth title against Jamie
Robinson but pulled out late on ? A frustrated Robinson claimed Rafferty couldn’t make the weight so it was off ?

Robinson instead now takes on Kane Gardner in Bolton tonight on a Steve Wood VIp show - I’d expect that to be a cracking fight .
Two game lads , who despite losses appear to be avoided with prospects looking for an easier nights work.

I suppose Rafferty is biding his time, protecting his 0 , waiting for the right opportunity at the right time as they say.

Rafferty stops Jaishankar in 3 , dominated him, good educated pressure from him, good crisp jabs and right hands, backed Jaishankar up and kept him occupied, Rafferty dropped him in the 3rd with a jab to the body, Jaishankar got up but Rafferty stayed composed and put him down again with a right, again Jaishankar got up but another right and a sneaky body shot had him down again, he got up and the bell ended the round but the ref has seen enough
