Agreed poor matchmaking. Vargas Jr is 27 so not a baby by any means. He won't learn much from knock over jobs; they could at least get him someone who could give him some rounds.

Feeling old now seems like yesterday his father was fighting ODLH :o

Unsurprisingly Vargas Jr blows away Cordones in round 1, total mismatch, Cordones out of his depth and hurt with every shot that landed, Vargas Jr put him down early with a quality straight left/right hook, great knockdown, Cordones was down again but ref wrongly rules push, Vargas Jr did put Cordones down a second time opening him up bundling him down, Cordones got up again but Vargas Jr was too hard hitting and too accurate and not long after the towel came in, a blowout for Vargas Jr, he did look good in all fairness but Cordones was a poor opponent coming in and so it proved

It was terrible. And it’s odd to say for a one round blowout but Vargas looked unimpressive
