90 people think AJ will win while 21 think DD.

I've gone for DD and I think he will beat gun-shy AJ inside 12

As long as it's your own, that's OK. I mean, I'm sure you have lovely socks Sean, but I have no interested in squirting my love custard in them.

Tickets on sale. If you want to watch it and not see the boxers in the ring it will cost 80.

50 yards closer 250.

Honestly what an effing joke these prices are. Saying that they are selling fast.

I'll be watching on my IPTV :OhYes: as I'm not paying that amount of money

Oh, so he hasn't retired.
Bloody social media general consensuses based on things that aren't actually true
FFS when will they learn.
That's casuals for you.... Exactly the market AJ seems to have lost.
You think he’s lost the causals? Not chance mate. Based on what?
The venue not selling. Even with a lot more back up from the undercard and Gallagher than he's ever had. Forget the prices, the AJ fans were paying way more on the secondary market pre the Ruiz drubbing.

Takam in Cardiff isn't better than DDD. Or Povetkin at Wembley minus the other attractions. Both sold much faster.

Hopefully they struggle to fill it, leading to Turki the excellent adding a tasty heavyweight clash between Zhang/Parker v Kabayel as co main to reach the 100,000 mark

Come on Turki lad, you can do it

The card is solid but its not as strong as the U.S card or the Riyadh cards.

The best of the undercard is The Warrington fight.

Buatsi v Hutchinson is interesting, but not a huge fight. Smith looked dead last time out and has porked up big time.

We need one more good one on there.

I honestly think they have messed up on the undercard. Joshua nearly always has some heavyweight fights supporting the main event:

Joshua v Breazeale + Whyte v Bacurin
Joshua v Molina + Whyte v Chisora 1
Joshua v Takkam + Whyte v Helenius
Joshua v Klitschko didn't (but Dubois isn't Klitschko)
Joshua v Parker + Povetkin v Price
Joshua v Povetkin + Kuzmin v Price
Joshua v Ruiz Jr. didn't (but Dubois can't sell a fight like Miller)
Ruiz Jr v Joshua 2 + Povetkin v Hunter + Hrgovic v Molina + Whyte v Wach
Joshua v Pulev + Bakole v Kuzmin + Fury v Wach
Joshua v Usyk didn't (but it was Joshua's homecoming and Dubois isn't Usyk)
Usyk v Joshua 2 + Hrgovic v Zhang
Joshua v Franklin + Wardley v Coffie
Joshua v Helenius + Hrgovic v McKean + Chisora v Washington + Fisher v Armstrong
Joshua v Wallin + Wilder v Parker + Makhmudov v Kabayel + Dubois v Miller + Sanchez v Fa + Hrgovic v DeMori
Joshua v Ngannou + Zhang v Parker + Huni v Lerena + Novytskyi v Torres

Joshua v Dubois + ???

Not even a cruiserweight on this card...
It's a bit naff really unless you are committed to watching British boxing. Not everyone is interested in watching the lower weights.

It's so underwhelming, you'd think Warren was paying

I don't think there's a big name in the history of boxing who's stock didn't drop when he started losing. Even the greats struggled to sell towards the end of their careers. AJ crossed over massively, but like every star in any sport or any other idolised field, the posters on kids walls change. Fans evolve.

Turki should add Noel Gallagher. It would be worth a million boxing cards in getting the name out there.

really sensible valid point that. There's a good BBC news article about who will take over from AJ and Fury amongst the current younger Brits. They even squeezed Hughie in as he's still in his 20s!

Selling tickets to any event has changed massivly post covid era.

Music festivals around the world are going bust becuase they dont get the cash upfront when they need it. Traditional the music fesival near where i live would have 50,000 people online at 7am when tickets went on sale fighting for 20,000 tickets... Now it dosent sell out (and if it does its just days befor)... because of this there isnt the mad rush for tickets, and it dosent create its own vibe.

same thing is happening with all lelvles of live music. and i assume the same thing is happening with all sport (to a degree).

If something is going to sell out, then its a race for tickets and creates a buzz which helps sell tickets and helps create buzz and loops...

no doubt AJ has lost some shine, but this not selling out instantly is more a reflection of post covid ticket sale trends more than anything i think.... which is sad, and i hope we revert back to the old maddness. we arnt scared of covid cancelations now, its just the way things are done feels different still.

Yea that did really well. Was furys first proper UK fight in nearly 10 years i guess... but it did proper well.

Interestingly It is kinda furys only good UK fight. which is incredible considering how popular fury is in the UK.

Furys best UK fights in order are probably

WHYTE
Chisora 1,2,3 (pick your fav order)
Hammer
Mcdermont?

Pathetic @UK resume really, real shame, no shade on fury, just sucks he didnt bring his UK fans much to cheer for.
