Best "Shortest Punch' to a KO

Anyone know what the shortest punch was that KO'd another boxer ?
I remember reading somewhere where it said "the punch didnt travel more then six inches.
But cant remember the fight.

I think it was Bob Fitzsimmons who claimed he could knock a fighter out with a "six-inch" punch.
He knocked Peter Maher out by stepping in and delivery a right upper-cut to the jaw
with less then a six inch punch.
The solar-plexus punch he delivered to JIM J. Corbett's solar-plexus was also said to have been six inches.

Dempsey was good at it evidently. Talked about it in a couple interviews I believe. I was always a bit skeptical about it. Six inch punch may be damaging cumulatively, but taking a guy out with one seems a stretch. Although, I might be wrong

It was said that the first punch that Dempsey floored Willard with,
only traveled a 'foot", but eyewitness said it was started into motion earlier.
I think the 'six-inch" punch is a punch that just suddenly accelerates
the last six inches.
