Re: Boots v David Aneyeson
Broken jaw/cheekbone. Ennis constantly went low, not good. But he is class.

Re: Boots v David Aneyeson
Fun fight while it lasted, just exactly what Ennis needed after a year out, you worried for Avanesyan when he was steadied by a jab seconds in but he regrouped well, Ennis won pretty much everything but he made things harder than it need be by fighting it out up close and having a bit of a tear up, he was straying low no doubt but he was targeting the body, some of his work was immense, the variety and accuracy, also inside fighting a bit of a dying art but Ennis has that in him, Avanesyan touched him up, got through with plenty himself but you can put that down to Ennis's tactics, still the knockdown in the 5th came as a surprise, he countered Avanesyan with a left off the ropes and dropped him, was surprised to see Avanesyan bail on his stool but he's got broken jaw i believe
Re: Boots v David Aneyeson
ennis had no need to respect avnesyons power which was why he got clipped .
easy nights work for him .
He is gonna be a huge deal in the years to come .

Re: Boots v David Aneyeson
Did anyone else see the interview with Avanesyan after the weigh in?
If it’s still on DAZN, check it out. Haven’t laughed so much in ages!

boots is a beast, offensively has everything. he gets hit but that's part of being an aggressive fighter and it's not like he's eating punches non stop, a lot are shots he rides with nicely too
probably peak crawford is better, but if thy ever fight timing will be on boots side

Re: Boots v David Aneyeson
Sounded like Carl greaves did the sensible thing and pulled him out. One way traffic. Best thing about this card was the skye Nicholson performance, she can really box.

i respect that she has more skill than most women but she is dreadful to watch, negative slap and mover with 0 power. slows down any momentum built on the card. please give me an explosive boots showing over that any day.

Great thing about the Saudis is you can see this fight happening, I've gotta say pretty disappointed in the underwhelming response to the Madrimov fight, people need to get on board here, Madrimov is more than capable,. Crawford isn't daft but I make this 50/50 at best for Budmargaret thatcher wrote: ↑14 Jul 2024, 11:29 boots is a beast, offensively has everything. he gets hit but that's part of being an aggressive fighter and it's not like he's eating punches non stop, a lot are shots he rides with nicely too

Good caring corner with Greaves, glad they'd pulled David, he had taken lots of punishment.
As ever with me anyone know what David was paid? Good article / interview with David in this week's Boxing News. His relationship with Greaves and his manager Neil Marsh is great.

I bumped into Carl Greaves last year in benidorm when I was at my brothers stag, I went "alright Johnny"
He was gent though, had a chat about Avanesyan etc, top man
Re: Boots v David Aneyeson
as the fight is in the US and will be on at daft oclock the interest wont be huge - shame as its a really good card and bakole vs anderson could really light uphandsofstone wrote: ↑14 Jul 2024, 14:57Great thing about the Saudis is you can see this fight happening, I've gotta say pretty disappointed in the underwhelming response to the Madrimov fight, people need to get on board here, Madrimov is more than capable,. I disagree, she's one of my favourite boxers to watch. Brilliant boxing skills. As for Boots, boring pre determined fight on Saturday. Re: Boots v David Aneyeson
boring and pre determined, sounds like the 100-90, every round the same as the other, slap and dance fest with pillow hand sky. at least boots broke some jaws, scored a kd, and ended his mis match early for us. although maybe if he had no power and half the output he'd be more brilliant.veriton wrote: ↑15 Jul 2024, 13:47I disagree, she's one of my favourite boxers to watch. Skye vs’d number 20 in the world… in a Div with 200 people… this is the equivalent to an opponent outside the top 100 in men’s due to the divisions haveing 1000+ boxers. It’s a joke of a fight.
Ava is a dangerous guy short notice, not elite but without a specific camp to prepare a risk for anyone that’s not very very very good.

Re: Boots v David Aneyeson
Boots took some punches but he's an aggressive fighter and comes after his opponents, who really will have to take some punches if they are planning on fighting with him on the inside. He looked much bigger than Avanesyan in there and the toughness of Ava was being tested from the opening seconds as you said. Ava is a tough fighter and showed it there but he was taking a good hiding for my money and it was only going to go one way. I thought the stoppage was compassionate and good cornerwork. Ava knew he wasn't in against Josh Kelly that's for sure.handsofstone wrote: ↑14 Jul 2024, 04:38 Fun fight while it lasted, just exactly what Ennis needed after a year out, you worried for Avanesyan when he was steadied by a jab seconds in but he regrouped well, Ennis won pretty much everything but he made things harder than it need be by fighting it out up close and having a bit of a tear up, he was straying low no doubt but he was targeting the body, some of his work was immense, the variety and accuracy, also inside fighting a bit of a dying art but Ennis has that in him, Avanesyan touched him up, got through with plenty himself but you can put that down to Ennis's tactics, still the knockdown in the 5th came as a surprise, he countered Avanesyan with a left off the ropes and dropped him, was surprised to see Avanesyan bail on his stool but he's got broken jaw i believe

A real horror to watch. Sucks any kind of excitement out of an arena. I hate to say it but do we really need this turgid crap on main cards? You know she's going to run around and is packing feather in her gloves. Even the likes of Sunny Edwards was getting stoppages against dire opponents like that. The opponent couldn't even throw a punch properly.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑14 Jul 2024, 13:32 i respect that she has more skill than most women but she is dreadful to watch, negative slap and mover with 0 power. slows down any momentum built on the card. please give me an explosive boots showing over that any day.

Can't blame you mate, I just had it on in the background and glanced over from time to time to see her running as usual. Look rumour has it shes b*nging Eddie and I don't know if thats true or not but I don't see why we get subjected to her ghastly fights on main cards. Throw her on an undercard where nobody is going to see it unless they want to see it. A girl who hasn't got a clue how to throw a punch vs a girl who isn't trying to win by knockout and has no idea how to fight inside and is just running (not boxing, running) all night. Eddie is taking the absolute p*ss there making an audience sit through that. Nobody wants to see this other than weird old Onlyfans subscriber type men. Just f*ck off ruining boxing nights with this calamitous rubbish.

Eddie wouldn't put any women on turkys cards
