Boxing Now followed Dave before and after last night's fight. He did a friend's corner immediately after his fight (Ryan Labourn) who he used to manage and knows from the ams.

Dave has posted prolifically this week on people he has sparred and some upcoming fight predictions,

I've enjoyed listening to them.

Henry v Pauls card predictions

Okolie sparring

Bakole sparring, really honest, says Bakole was a whiny diva but beat Dave up

Sparring Fisher, says Fisher was tough despite being super green

Sparring Whyte, Dubois and Chisora

I know you all don't want to miss a Dave upload so here you are. In this one Dave talks about his young pro Joe Hayden who went 15 and 0 last night picking up his first stoppage. Dave talks about it's often wise to go the rounds when you're coming up as if you start stopping the opponent they will start costing you more money

summary:

dave says he was 9-1 as an am

says was no good skill wise starting out but even then he was too hard for most guys in the gym. he would travel 6 hours for sparring with pros even just starting out as an am. some gyms he'd ko 3 guys in a row within 30 seconds each. maybe i misunderstood, but thought he said he was part of ingles gym at one point but got kicked out for sparring at other gyms too much?

only loss to simon barclay in aba quarters

was disciplined until meeting his girlfriend (and her name isnt sean brennan :OhYes: ) and then ran into issues with weight etc

got invitied to the team gb set up for assessments along with a group of other guys around his weight. says billam smith was the first sent home despite training very hard and being meticulous with diet etc. dave made it to the final few but decided to turn pro

looking back he says he regrets that a bit and wishes he pursued the ams a bit more to try to get experience internationally before going pro
