Both withdrew from the Super Six World Boxing Classic, when the tournament reached Group Stage 3.
What if they would've met during the 1st or 2nd Stage of the tourney?
Their respective tournament results, just for the reminder:
Kessler: Ward (L TD 11), Froch (W UD 12)
Dirrell: Froch (L SD 12), Abraham (W DQ 10).

Re: Mikkel Kessler vs Andre Dirrell (Super Six)
Kessler was consistently pretty good. Dirrell a headcase and waste of talent
Andre runs all night. Loses close

Kessler SD.
Re: Mikkel Kessler vs Andre Dirrell (Super Six)
Kessler by decision.
Re: Mikkel Kessler vs Andre Dirrell (Super Six)
Agree with Jeff. Kessler was consistent, Dirrell a total headcase. Kessler wins but judges eff it up and make it closer than it should be because of occasional Dirrell flashes

Re: Mikkel Kessler vs Andre Dirrell (Super Six)
Well, depends on where the fight takes place. If it's in Denmark - it might be the other way around. I thought, Kessler got couple of wide scores against Froch. On the other hand, Dirrell arguably should've won against Froch and was jobbed in Froch's hometown of Nottingham.
Of course, to make picture full, when Dirrell fought Abraham in his home state of Michigan - the ref was more favourable to him.
Overall, I don't recall some vivid robberies in Super Six. But the hometown fighter would usually receive some benefit from the officials.
Re: Mikkel Kessler vs Andre Dirrell (Super Six)
I think it has to be Kessler and wherever it was happening ......
.......Dirrell never seemed to be prepared to 'push the issue' when it was definitely required, he was hugely frustrating like that because he was always well in these fights with top quality opponents but duly let rounds slip at the wrong time.
Froch found Dirrell very tricky but was just allowed to plug-on and never got Dirrell coming back at him, I suspect Kessler does much the same and wins because he works hard and never faces Dirrell massively committing to a big round.
I seem to recall the Froch fight and Carl being massively pissed-off and Dirrell never stepping on the gas.

Re: Mikkel Kessler vs Andre Dirrell (Super Six)
Kessler is probably outboxing him. Lands a hard body shot or something on Dirrell, and Dirrell claims it's low, and starts squirming around on the floor all dramatic like looking for the DQ.
The referee doesn't go for that. So he fights on reluctantly, and eventually takes a hard shot behind the ear and goes down claiming he was hit in the back of the head and oh my god I can't see. What's my name? Can you help me ref? I can't beat this guy.
And the ref either goes for it DQ'ing Kessler or Kessler wins by TKO at some point because Dirrell quits and can't hack it.
