Joyce is so bad awful defence and doesn't look like he punches correctly either. Moses would best both of them in the same night
Good win for chisora thou

Joe was slurring in an interview a week ago, probably going to be even worse after this. Those swinging hooks Del throws are solid, but most guys see them coming and duck or parry them, but not Joe...
A big part of his defence has always been the use of his chin to absorb flush punches.

Re: Round-by-Round: Joe Joyce vs. Derek Chisora | TNT Sports - 24th July 2024
Got it 95-94 Chisora, wasn't comfortable as cards suggest, both men looked like they were fighting in treacle but it was a good fight to watch, both men landed plenty leather, Chisora with his winging shots bouncing off Joyce who plowed forward, looked like he was hurting Chisora all the time, Chisora's legs were gone last 3/4 rounds, he looked one punch from getting stopped but then put Joyce flat on his back out of nowhere with a right hand in the 9th, incredible but as Frampton said in comms it was Chisora who looked ready to go when Joyce got up, Chisora was basically running in the last round before nailing Joyce with huge shots at the end, great action

What a great brawl. Chis' movement and approach (not to mention his heart) were the difference makers.

Entertaining fight, but these guys made each other look good by being so bad.
Tough fellas and all credit to them though

I won’t watch a rematch. Someone needs to save them from themselves.golden_labrador wrote: ↑27 Jul 2024, 18:32i know what you mean. brains rattling around in them skulls tonightFrostieballs wrote: ↑27 Jul 2024, 18:28 This could be the fight that ends my support of boxing.
Literally watching 2 blokes giving each other brain damage.

Great action fight, good atmosphere, probably not my last Chisora fight. Now off to the airport.

Joyce downfall like David price. Looked really good for a world title, then gets found out against a old experience fighter and never looked the same again.

The years ago when Joyce was calling Del out..
We reckon he could have taken him then?

Maybe it’s because Del Boy looked like he could get taken out at any point from about round 3 onwards, but for the life of me I didn’t think they’d be reading out Chisora’s name at the end.
Re: Round-by-Round: Joe Joyce vs. Derek Chisora | TNT Sports - 24th July 2024
Good analogy
Yes, I was (like a lot of others) sold on Price making the move into the pro ranks. He got cracked like Joyce, and was never the same. Both nice guys, and probably deserved a bit more success than they eventually got.

Joyce choosing to fight Zhang is looking like one of the worst career moves I've ever seen from a boxer.

Has to be right up there at number 1.
Price fighting Thompson was a risk that I wouldn't have taken with Price but rematching him was an extremely dismal career move.

Had it 96-93 for Chisora and can't argue with 97-92 or 95-94 as some round were close. After the 8th it semed like it's becoming close and thought that Joyce might get himeslef to a draw or Chisora could get robbed again but that knockdown in the 9th cemented it. Chisora clearly landed the better punches. Looked horrible in the last 5 rounds but he always looks like that in second halves of his fights. A bit disappointed that he is friends with the nazi guy. Don't see where Chisora goes after this. Probably a fight against a top 15 guy, maybe a final eliminator fight, but all the top 15 guys will probably beat him. As for Joyce he does seem finished. Those 2 losses to Zhang really took a lot from him. Also he is aging and becoming worse. Joyce vs Wilder may be a good recycling fight where loser will have nowhere to go and winner may get another decent fight as they both seem to be in a similar situation and they can probably still make another payday from fighting each other.

even Wilder would ko this Joyce. huge static target and cracked chin. I also wouldn't want to see it either!daniel_nikolov wrote: ↑27 Jul 2024, 19:08 Had it 96-93 for Chisora and can't argue with 97-92 or 95-94 as some round were close.
