holy crap martin
bakole absolutely batters and stops jared anderson in 5, dropping him 3 times in process
lovely lead right from martin couldnt miss, used it like a jab. uppercut inside hurt and dropped anderson too
martin chubby but he really has a nice relaxed drunken master type quality to his boxing

Think we can discard the Hunter fight now. Bakole is definitely a contender.

Also worth mentioning how incredibly funny it is when an American heavyweight hope falls flat on his grid.

Re: holy crap martin
ya for sure, lots of good fighters take losses then improve, or just had an off night. martin with his size ,power, and unorthodox skill and shot selection is a handful for pretty much anyone. huge guy who can bust up guys inside or outsidejameswilson wrote: ↑03 Aug 2024, 20:56 Think we can discard the Hunter fight now. anderson already had lots of issues in his personal life and said he never liked boxing anyway, i wonder if this is the start of the end for him. normally i wouldnt say that after 1 loss, but he has the personality for it to be a dealbreaker
Re: holy crap martin
If Anderson couldn't beat that, he couldn't beat anyone of note.
Bakole makes Joyce look speedy.
Good on him for giving it a really good go, it was a highlight reel stoppage.

martin is slow but his shot selection is superb. hes landed easily on most opponents. even in the hunter bout he had hunter hurt

That upper cut was gonna floor 90% of the division anyway. Yes good punch selection, but oh so slow.
Wonder if Anderson will want a rematch?

anderson will be battered again, not a good rematch for him if he wants to get back on track
Re: holy crap martin
Hunter was great that night. Is he still fighting? He disappeared

Re: holy crap martin
hunter's career been weird over the last few years. done a lot of fights in the 'team combat league' thing in the usa, where its teams with each guy fightijng 1 round, then they add up the scores at the end
he returned to regular pro boxing a month or two ago by shutting out huge but fairly useless cassius chaney for a wba title of some sort

Anderson wasn't upto much to be fair. Good win on paper for Bakole though and gets the excitable fans.....excited.
That lack of headmovent will be is undoing when he fights someone who can use a jab.

Parker v bakole will give us the bona fide number 1 .
What an awful gameplan by Anderson. Bakole fights like Foreman, totally rooted to the spot. Why on earth would you go toe to toe and trade with him? Bizarre. I guess Anderson is just not very bright.

Bakole beat Jarred Anderson last night, then decided to go to the gym and knockout Usyk, Fury and Joshua in sparring.

He can't do anything else. He's done that exact thing for all his fights. This kind of reminds me of when people were criticising Nathan Cleverly at times for not boxing. He didn't have the ability to do so either, he was just mainly a front foot plodder throwing punches. Anderson bought his own hype by the looks of it.funso banjo baby wrote: ↑04 Aug 2024, 09:04 Parker v bakole will give us the bona fide number 1 .

Re: holy crap martin
Boxrec have ranked Bakole #6 ahead of Parker #7.
They value beating Anderson, an untested prospect, a lot.
Chisora would have beaten the Anderson we saw last night and Zhang would have likely KO'd him in one.

Re: holy crap martin
zhang kos him ya, nah on del for me though. del could have given anderson a tough fight, but not sure he'd of had the power to deal with him like bakole did and zhang would. anderson was landing plenty on bakole but it was tank vs water gun, and with martin's size he didnt need to work his way in much. it wouldnt be the same dynamic vs del. i dont think gerald washington takes a punch any better than anderson does and he was never close to being stopped and never seriously hurt by this version of del. everyone else who beat washington stopped him, even charles martin, who anderson gets maligned for losing 1 round against

Bakole VS Zang / Miller maybe / Kabayel
Parker might fancy it after he handled zangh .
anyone with a belt will swerve
anderson was a hollow hype train anyway so it kinda flatters bakole

Bizarrely, it's a little bit like his Dad, who never had an established promoter really pushing him.

Hunter lost recently to a Russian but the bout was not recognised by boxrec so it doesn’t show on his recordkeithmoonhangover wrote: ↑05 Aug 2024, 06:49Bizarrely, it's a little bit like his Dad, who never had an established promoter really pushing him.
