Re: Ben Tackie vs. Arturo Gatti
I assume they paths would've crossed circa 2003-2004. At that point in time, a Mcgirt-trained Gatti would most likely win a decision. Under McGirt's tutelage, Arturo showed he can box when needed (for example, against Branco).
Tacki was a tough nut, but unless I forgot something - he lost everytime he stepped up. But he could fight. And was durable. He'd give Gatti a tough job, but would lose.

Gatti vs Ben Tackie probably would've been a really excellent fight. Tackie wasn't the most skilled guy, but he was tough, and Gatti probably ain't stopping him so you're looking at a fight that goes rounds with both men getting shots in.
If Gatti fights smart he gets in more than Tackie and wins a UD. If he fought recklessly and just traded with abandon with Tackie it's not out of the question that Tackie could stop him, but I think Gatti of 2002 onward would've been able to do enough Boxing to stack up the rounds and win.
