Re: Was This Bill Televised?
If it was, it would have probably been shown on "The Sunshine Network"
I use to live in Florida back then, and they showed a lot of boxing shows on local cable TV from the state.
( fighters you'd never seen on ESPN or USA Network)

I remember Emilio Sotomayor. Trained at same gym. Fought on same card couple times. He was good in early rounds. Tended to fade. He fought Jesse Torres on a card I fought on. Really close tough back and forth. Out of nowhere, Jesse landed a left hook and knocked Emilio out. It’s a fight I won’t forget.

I remember Teddy Anderson as the man who took on George Foreman in London back in 1990. He lasted less than a round. Amazingly, the vast majority of the 4,000 crowd expected to see a real fight.
Re: Was This Bill Televised?
And Boy George's brother made his debut on the undercard, the fella has had some problems since
Re: Was This Bill Televised?
It was a pretty awful show. Sean Murphy was due to defend his British featherweight title against John Davison in a mouthwatering showdown but Davison pulled out injured and in came Johnny B. Good, who stood no chance.
Re: Was This Bill Televised?
I was at this fight ! In fact you can hear me shout 'go on george' at the beginning to round 1

It's the Teddy Anderson vs Mike Cohen fight I'm after. Don't ask me why.

So, it's a strange one. I remember watching a fight between two heavies, one of which I'm fairly certain was Terry Anderson. The fight went both ways and the commentators thought it should have been stopped, but the guy in trouble came back to win the fight by stoppage. I've spent the last few years trying to work which fight it was and Anderson-Cohen is the one I think it is. I know, strange.evrenb wrote: ↑16 Aug 2024, 10:38Why?keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑16 Aug 2024, 09:24 It's the Teddy Anderson vs Mike Cohen fight I'm after. Don't ask me why.![]()

I may be wrong but on the build up to the fight I have of Andersons there is highlights of it ...
Re: Was This Bill Televised?
I seem to remember Anderson going to war with Renaldo Snipes at the Felt Forum in New York, where Snipes was a big draw. Anderson was knocked clean through the ropes at one point.
