wow! great 12th! they go at it both with hard shots. ortiz came forward to start like he wanted a knockdown, but boha backed him off with some flush rights. they go back and forth rest of the round

i thought decision was fair but enough swing rounds to argue a draw at least, i did think boha won the 9th, which 2 judges gave to ortiz

I had it 113-113 as well, an incredible fight from the 1st bell, both guys electing to trade up close and that was petty much how they fought all night, Bohachuk dropped Ortiz in round 1 with a overhand right but ref called slip but before the 5th round started he instructed the judges to score it a KD, I've never seen that before I don't think but I'm all for it, better late than never, some of the action was top level stuff, Ortiz getting home with the stiff jab, the body shots and rights to the head, seemed to hurt Bohachuk a few times but Bohachuk kept firing in there with him and scoreed another knockdown in the 8th from a left, was a flash knockdown but legit nonetheless, it galvanized Bohachuk who came on strong as Ortiz looked tired but credit to Vergil he pulled it out last 3 rounds, was a draw on my card but no complaints about they 2 cards who had Ortiz edging it, some fight one of the best of the year

just seen it now, farrrk. brutal punching. both knockdowns were flash, barely counted (but obviously they do) Verg up so fast as if they were slips.

I don't know if many other boxers can eat what Bohachuk took, but Ortiz needs to learn from, better defence and tactics needed to go to the next level. him going the full 12 like this hopefully means his health is sorted anyway - he was like a diesel train the last few rounds.

Boha will be pissing red this morning, fo sho.

You will never see me complain about an official scorecard that is one point different than mine.

Great fight, brutal, FOTY candidate, loved it.

Not at all interested in a rematch though.
In the last rounds when Ortiz used his jab better he won the rounds clearly and visibly hurt Bohachuk twice.
The knockdowns were both flash knockdowns, Ortiz was not hurt but they count and keep scorecards close
That's extremely unlikely to happen again.
Bohachuk scored the KDs but he was the one who was on wobbly legs several times during the fight.

I feel like a do over just gives us a wider Ortiz victory with far less drama.
Ortiz stays behind the jab, picks his spots, no knockdowns, no slug fest, wins wide.
