Shame that. Kinda feel like he deserves a big summer stadium fight in front of his people after such a stellar couple of years

It's decidedly odd that there's no City Ground event in the offing.

Has he Felix Cashed it?
They couldn’t do the City Ground because the only weekend Forest could do would have clashed with Fury/Usyk so was a nonstarter.

Wood’s a free agent. Apparently they were trying to get the Warrington fight over the line but haven’t been able to get deals done as yet.

When you say Felix Cashed it are you referring to online speculation that Cash failed a test with no actual evidence other than inactivity?
Can’t he fight at the City Ground any weekend during the summer ?
Apparently it's been unavailable for the 2 years that Hearn has been promising to make his "next" fight there.

The only date Forest could do this year was May 18th. No chance it was going to happen then as soon as Fury/Usyk was rearranged for that date.

And the 2 previous summers?

any update on Britain's most exciting fighter?

A shame that nothing could have been arranged between Wood and Navarette, who moved up chasing a world title in another weight class, but was nowhere near good enough technically.

Wood v Navarette, whom we know is a hard man with a great engine, might have been Wood's equivalent to the Frampton v Santa Cruz fights. Wood's kind of already had his pair of Hopkinson v Villasana type of fights, if we're comparing.

Looks like matchroom not happy with him. Tried to make warrington rematch which hasnt materialised and now warrington got the cacace fight which wood deserved more than warrington after their fight with both moving up. Be Interesting to see what happens next for him.

I hold absolutely nothing against Wood for not wanting the Warrington rematch.
For starters it would be yet another chance not earned from Josh, and who wants to be in the ring with the UK's dirtiest fighter if he has nothing but cuts and butts to offer?

Indeed, it didn’t happen. The question is why. Personally I’m surprised Matchroom didn’t make that fight. Wood and Warrington would have signed if the conditions were right. Matchroom surely could have made it attractive to them. I don’t get it.
Wood is hot property and getting on in years. Something isn’t working it seems.

Yes, the question is why has Wood not get his next payday pencilled in by now. It doesn’t have to be Josh.

What, you mean pissed hot? I hope not
It's bizarre that there's nothing lined up for an exciting fighter with fairly heavy hands.

Warrington said Wood couldn't do Wembley because Ben is working with AJ.

Woods is after one more big payday, he alluded to this by mentioning waiting to see if anything crops up in Saudi.

Saw a interview with warrington claiming he accepted less money than first offered to make the fight but wood couldn't agree terms. Truth is we will never know. Just weird how out of the 2 fighters warrington got the cacace fight.

Surely he can corner 2 fights on the night and run 2 camps at once.

Wood has said he's been offered less money than the first fight. They must have taken a loss on the show.

No world title on the line. Guessing that could effect the purse. Be interesting to see who he does fight next.
