Yeah defo bamboozled Mbili for a round and a bit - certainly wasn't expecting it.
Normal service has been resumed however... :box:

That's the end of the great Sergey Deryvenchenko - great career :salut: but he's finished at top level now.

That was everything he had to sneak over the line without being stopped. Never could win a real big one, so time to hang 'em up.

true, although he'll probably keep getting offers until someone can finally claim to be the one to stop him

defo, and it's up to him, but he's gotta heal that arm and then be nearly 40...

I'd rather he kept his marbles.

Mbili seems likeable. Very strong. Not sure how far he can go but let’s see

His fights against Jacobs and Golovkin were really close. I could give him a W against Danny and a D against GGG.

S.D is a very good fighter. Too bad that he could not get a title. The version of S.D that fought against Jacobs and GGG would clean up the recent mw division.

98-92 Mbilli for me, both guys quite similar, strong, musclebound, don't jab much, prefer to throw clubbing shots around the side of the guard and combos to the body, Derevyanchenko injuring his lead bicep saw his chances of winning over although he did have occasional success, he was on a hiding to nothing, anytime Mbilli landed the right hand it had some sort of effect and had Derevyanchenko stumbling, tough guy though, zero quit and made Mbilli work for the win, he can't keep having these wars or he'll end up cabbaged, good win for Mbilli all the same

I didn't like this fight for Derevyanchenko he was too old 38, and too undersized. Plus it seemed referee was against him.

They stacked the deck against him to feast on him.

Once he tore his left bicep , it was just a matter of time before it was painfully obvious he could not win.

His corner should have stopped the fight by the 8th round, all those punches he took to the head after that were totally unnecessary,

I agree with announcer Tim Bradley that the fight should have been stopped earlier.

Mbilli
He wanted to impress a bit too much, who can blame him.
He expended way too much energy trying to put him away in the early to mid rounds.
Overall he did alright.
