He was known as the Malawi Boy Wonder in his eary career, regularly knocking out 30-year olds before he was 10. His 9-round knockout over Joseph Marwa at the age of 12 was especially remarkable. It must be said however that he benefited greatly from local legislation which did not allow the opponents to hit back, as it would constitute child abuse.
