Dubois on entering the prime of his career
“I was speaking about before, I was in a dark place and I was going through some stuff but I feel like I’ve been resurrected now. I’m in the light again and I’m ready to fight. He’s been the king for a while, he’s been the king for a long time in fact, but I feel like it’s my time and I’m a king slayer and I’ve got to do that again.”

Joshua on his matchup against Dubois
“All due respect, you don’t underestimate anyone but I do know boxing very well. All this stuff that we talk about, I study Daniel and I look at some of the things that he says, his characteristics, his boxing talent, his upbringing and so on — all of it’s irrelevant. Is he ready? Everything I tell you is irrelevant. He will see, September 21st.”

Joshua on the rumor of Dubois supposedly knocking him out in a past sparring session
“Everyone tries to underestimate me, using my name for clout and boost their career. But now Daniel’s got a chance to do it by fighting me. That’s the best way that he’ll prove himself, is by fighting me.”

Towards the end of the conversation things would get tense with Joshua taking offense to Dubois saying “If he wants to swing, let’s go now,” to which Joshua would ultimately get out of his seat and engage Dubois in some intimidation tactics.

This 96k stuff is just a load of bullshit. They never sold out the 90 in the first place. Thousands left so they took them all off sale, announced a sell out and then put them back on sale at a much cheaper price! There's thousands left, a £165 ticket is now £99. £75 cheapest now.

Has anyone been to a big stadium fight and enjoyed it? Just seems like a nightmare to me unless you have a grand to spare on a ticket

Usyk v Dubois. Warm summers night, very cheap good ticket, thousands of stunning Ukrainian women everywhere, no pisscans or sniffers.

And Saudi if you count The Kingdom Arena. Its a football stadium most of the time and has a retractable roof.
I've only done the uk and German ones in my drinking days so can't really comment.

Big stadiums in general are crap, in my personal experience anyway. I went to both Joshua fights at the Millenium and it was a pretty rubbish experience compared to an average small / medium hall show where you can actually see what's happening in the ring without relying on massive screens.

It's not just boxing though, off the top of my head I've also seen my football team play at Wembley a few times and it was much worse than a typical home match experience, and I also went to see the WWE at the Millenium last year and tbh that was a lot worse than just watching on tv (although admittedly I only got a ticket for that just for the atmosphere, not really a fan so wouldn't have actually even watched it on tv anyway ).

It does help if its a good fight, though. Aj was a strong favourite in his Cardiff fights. Oh yes, I went to JC v Kessler (good) and Hattons homecoming (crap). Froch v Groves was electric when George came out on that bus. Anticipation for Wlad v Haye ruined by ridiculous weather, Wlad v Fury never caught fire.

No don't think so, but Tyson Fury was there and knocked someone out in the main event. Totally forgot about that until just then.

My only stadium fight experience was Mitchell vs Katsidis at the Boleyn ground and it was awful. Haven't been to one since although not sure what I was expecting as I hate stadium gigs too!
