Never thought I would yawn during a Inoue fight, slow start. Tim Bradley right waiting for him to slow down

TJ boxing smart, pretty sure he took a big shot in the second very well, and in the third although he’s missing you can see that he’s carrying some big power.

Takei/Higa was a good tussle, watched it in my work on my breaks so never scored, but looked like Takei was the deserved winner, 7-5/6-2 kinda fight obviously with the KD Higa scored in the 11th tightening it up, never got a replay so hard to tell if it was a legit or a slip from Takei, still he boxed well Takei, long leavers uses them well, the right uppercuts especially worked well along with the left hands, Higa strong had moments where he'd unload both barrels but was outworked most of the time for me, he came on strong got the knockdown late but Takei had a big last round and Higa looked like the end couldn't come quick enough

Just seen the knockdown in the earlier post, Takei not hurt but a left did land I suppose

I thought Inoue looked, at least for his status, a little ordinary. Although to be fair to Doheny, TJ boxed pretty well though was always gonna lose. He’s a tough egg too. But got old man back problems. He looks about 55

Inoue is a machine Doheny was always outmatched though.

Not an A+ performance from Inoue but got the stoppage , he was a bit passive, too conservative just popping out the jab no real urgency in his work and Doheny to his credit took advantage, he didn't win many rounds but he let his hands go, landed some nice lefts and put shots together and they weren't just "keep off me" punches, he sat down on them, it wasn't until the 5th Inoue turned up the heat, begam walking Doheny down, landing rights up top and lefts down below, Doheny quickly unravelled, I don't want to say he swallowed it but it's no coincidence shortly after Inoue got to work Doheny bailed, Inoue landed a couple partally blocked shots in the 7th and Doheny took the knee citing a sore back

Inoue is so good. Doheny's injury reminded me a bit of Burnett's, it was clearly serious. If it's his last fight, least he challenged for a world title.

I wasn't really that impressed with Inoue. Maybe he needs a challenge but I just don't like to see guys operating in first gear unless they are giving a masterclass. He's losing that "must watch" factor. His last few fights were first gear operations mostly, apart from Nery who had a go and Donaire who he had to prove a point against. Maybe it's a case of giving the Japanese tv audience more of a fight and he's being instructed to do it because I have no doubt he could have upped the ante and got TJ out of there way earlier.

I agree he looked way below p4p. To be fair to Doheny he didn’t do badly, was tough, landed some shots on Inoue and tried. But there was the feeling that Inoue could’ve raised the game at anytime and stopped TJ. It was an underwhelming performance

He definitely could have got the stoppage earlier. P*ssed about with Paul Butler as well who was just trying to go the distance. Poor Jamie McDonnell got him when he was in a mood to get the fight over with quickly and took a shellacking and I think got done within a minute and he's just as capable as those guys at doing a moving/feinting/herky jerky distance fight

match him with mj or casimero (has trash talked a lot) and he'd take it more seriously, should never have been fighting doheny, almost like he was just making bob happy or something, for some reason arum was really gung ho on this one

So good you had to say it twice. But I definitely agree very unimpressive for a fighter of Inoue’s standard. Doheny boxed pretty well but Baluta beat him ffs.
