What if instead of the great Roberto Duran challenging Davey Moore that night, pulls out because an injury and Donald Curry becomes the challenger?
How this fight would have turned out?

The Cobra was on the rise in 1983 and in his prime as he would batter Moore behind his jabs and quick combinations to stop him in 12 rounds.

Can't see Donald stopping Davey. But definitely see him outboxing him over 15. But he better be on point, for Davey could lay him out if he wasn't.

Yeah, Donald outpointed Davey in the 1980 Olympic Trials final at 147.
Re: Super Welterweights: Donald Curry vs Davey Moore
Curry was a special fighter. Prime was way too short.
Was dealing with McCallum quite easily, buckling him, something not many could do. Too fast, accurate and with a good dig at 154 lbs, might be just a bit too much for Davey, imo.
Davey could win, not doubt, but I feel he'd have to be bang on it and Curry, having one of his coasting phases. Interesting fight and one that would have been a great watch.

Re: Super Welterweights: Donald Curry vs Davey Moore
I would lean on Davey Moore on this one. Not because of talent, but because of sheer strength. Davey Moore hits harder and Donald Curry, as good as advertised, didn't had the best of chins. Curry was dropped by Jun Suk Hwan, stopped by Lloyd Honeghan in 6 rounds, and by the great Mike McCallum's left hook.
Davey Moore could hit hard. He was very strong, too. Moore by knockout after being behind on points in ten rounds.
