Funny how Benn kept saying he was gonna fight Kelly and kept calling him out before he was fighting Ava.

But as soon as Ava beat up Kelly, he never called out Ava once.

Would love an Ava vs. Benn fight.

kinda a crapshoot. prime smith grinds kelly for the win, but he looked awful last fight. was it the ankle? maybe, but he's also got a lot of miles on the clock (16 years pro/almost 40 fights) and injuries can recur. kelly isnt all that but can probably fiddle around enough to beat a washed up smith.

I think Ava would have broken him up. Very good European champ, not quite world level. I like watching him

Smith on whether it will be difficult to know what version of Josh Kelly will turn up for their fight
“There’s loads of ways of looking at it, they think he’s this beast all of the sudden, do you know what I mean? ‘Josh Kelly is the fuckin’ animal, this massive puncher.’...if he’s this beast we’ll see next week but I know what Josh Kelly we’re getting. We’ll get the flash Josh Kelly, moves his legs and tries to dance about the ring. Be realistic, he’s not going to stand in the middle of the ring and fight me.”

On where he thinks Kelly rates in comparison to other fights he might’ve pursued instead
“Josh is just a nightmare one that you’re going to have to fiddle out, you’re going to have to break him down...a one-round fight with anyone, Josh Kelly can put up a fight with anyone, you know what I mean?...he’s tricky but it’s a 12-round fight for a reason.”

On his past sparring sessions with Kelly and Kelly insinuating he got the best of it
“I’ve been honest my whole fuckin’ career. If I’ve been fucked by worst fighters than Kelly in sparring that’s just the way sparring goes. We had a good 10-round sparring the first day, I was happy with it, very happy with it. And he came again on the Friday and ran around the ring.”

Kelly's gonna win this. Smith doesn't have the ankles for it.

didnt smith have a back problem that took ages to heal and prevented training for eubanks .

TBF I can see either smith or kelly winning but just favour beefy slightly based on experience and sheer grit .
If kelly cant stop him or get way ahead on early rounds I see him going plastic .

If Smith is 90% or more he will do what he did to Fowler

If the Smith for the 2nd Eubank fight turns up it will be a Kelly win, similar job to what jnr did.

It's a Saudi fight, Smith is taking it whatever shape he is in

He was In Dubai last week at a small hall show. I saw him at Taylor v Catterall and he looked like he'd never box again.

Not surprised, he seems to struggle getting through training camps without something breaking down.

Billy Nelson saying Crocker's good to go, ordinarily I'd think no chance but Riyad card, pressure to find a credible opponent, fingers crossed

I believe they want to get a replacement for the card.

Maybe the fight will get re-arranged ..
But don’t see it

If Liam Smith retires, it was more than a virus.
