Match him with Fury, AJ, Dubois then Joyce. After he goes 0-4 in those bouts he can go away again

Easy to forget how special he was at cruiser. He was still very good at heavy, but needed opponents his own height (Chisora), or a lot slower (Valuev). And depending on your Povetkin view, he's firmly in the argument for Wlad's best win.

I'm sure he'd love to come back for one of these silly cards, but he's in that realm of still being dangerous enough to smash one of the Pauls, coming away a bully, but would have the same done to him by plenty of fighters less removed from their primes. Can't see a way his matchmaking adds up.

I've listened to it today. Good interview. Didn't blame trainers, or say the Thompson fight was too early (I always thought it was a hell of a 10th fight). Bit worrying that he says if his legs keep recovering as they are he might fight again.

His whole career was blighted by injuries, a shame really as he could’ve achieved more. He was a pro for 16 years and only managed 32 fights. He’s mentioned a few times that he had a camera man filming him over the years and documented all the injuries etc, be a good watch I reckon.

Haye was spent years ago. The extra years that have passed won't have helped his cause and as soon as the training hits the point when he needs to fire on all cylinders...his body fails.

Obviously it's sad if he needs the money, but I can understand there would be interest if the likes of Joe Calzaghe, Lennox Lewis & Carl Froch announced a comeback fight in a relatively short time frame after they retired. These guys went out at the right time so there could be a desire for seeing them box again...but Haye No thanks !

I remember him from Boxing Addicts forum at the time of fighting Carl Thompson. His name on there was DavidHaye with summin to say....he was pretty cool about being blasted out by Thompson, humble days I recall.

Anyway yeah he will like the cash but am pretty sure the other poster was wrong about him not wanting any titles but there ya go.
