Question time!

How are the ranking affected after Dubois KO’d Joshua last night?

No poll. Just keep it simple and easy for me to monitor. Like below please:

Joshua to #5
Dubois to #4

Thanks.

You can have an explanation too if you like.

Dubois to #2
Joshua to #5

Joshua's ego and arrogance cost him that fight twice. Arrogance led to him getting caught at the beginning with his hands down so early on. His legs and confidence never recovered from that, just like the first Ruiz fight. Arrogance then cost him a KO when Dubois was very hurt right before he got KO'd himself. No respect for his opponent which was proven between the rounds when the mic was on his corner.

That said, the second knockdown was odd. Joshua touched the canvas with both hands, got back up, then took 6-7 flush shots before sitting on the lowest rope and took another 2-3 shots before the ref stepped in. A contrast to the standing count that Fury got against Usyk...

Joshua vs Fury is well and truly past it's sell by date. What a waste.

My current rankings:
1. Usyk
2. Dubois
3. Parker
4. Fury
5. Joshua
6. Zhang
7. Kabayel
8. Bakole
9. Chisora
10. Ajagba
11. Wallin
12. Joyce
13. Hrgovic
14. Vianello
15. Wardley/Clarke

How about?

1. Usyk
2 Joshua
3. Dubois
4. Parker
5. Fury
6. Zhang
7. Kabayel
8. Joyce
9. Hrgovic
10. Bakole

I think AJ would win the rematch fairly easily IF HE DECIDES TO BOX. We all saw what Holyfield did to Douglas after what was probably the biggest HW upset of all time.

Anthony Joshua was talking all about being 'in the zone' and maintaining 'flow' after beating Ngannou but last night he looked zoned out for the first 4 rounds.

It could happen to anyone but I don't think it helped the way he casually arrived late and decided he was going to ease his way into the fight.

Sometimes the fight begins from the bell.

The young Mike Tyson was always raring to go from the start, but even the older Tyson knew what to do when he got rushed by one Peter McNeely.

I love Anthony Joshua's always willing to learn attitude, but boy does he need to put it into practice now.

No way can have Dubois below Joshua. Whether AJ can beat him in a rematch or not, it’s yet to happen.

Dubois to #3
Joshua to #8

Joshua looked terrible, Any other fighter and we would say to drop them from the ratings.

I'd have Dubois no worse than #3.

The Heavyweight division is really interesting right now. Usyk is the Champion, and the Top 5 are I'd say Fury, Dubois, Parker, Zhang, and I guess that Kabayel guy at #5.

I'll be honest. I think Martin Bakole would be a hell of a problem for a lot of these guys too. I could easily see Bakole beating Zhang and Dubois.

USYK = #1
DDD to #2!

Then

Parker #3
Fury # 4
Kaybel #5

Based on DDD domiaton of Joshua, I am moving Hrgovic up to #7 and Joshua down to #6.

Dubois #2 (three top 15 wins back to back)
Joshua #10 (far worse performance than Hrgovic)

I really don't understand how some are keeping Fury at #2.
Fury currently has zero wins over our top 10. He has two wins in the top 15, and is coming off a loss.
Dubois has two wins in the top 10 in his last two. Or three inside our top 15 in his last three.
What is the argument for Fury to remain at #2 in September of 2024?

Makes sense, both Dubois and Parker have recent wins over top 5 guys in our rankings.

Yeah, Hrgovic looks too low after what was a stoppage via headbutts. But he isn't exactly active.

Parker slots in between because even though Joshua beat Joe, I think Parkers recent two wins beat AJ's.

How much weight does Joshua's win over Parker matter right now?
I mean it was 6 and a half years ago

Nothing for current rankings. No way can you be considering wins that old otherwise you will just have guys squatting at the top of the rankings for their entire career. Kabayel beat Chisora 7 years ago but he was in nobody's top 15 until he beat Makhmudov. You have to be looking at the past 2-3 years tops.

DDD to 2.

AJ to 8

Otto to 15 (this negatively effects Otto’s piss poor effort and defiantly lifts millers effort)

Maybe not even that long.

It's kind of amusing how Anthony Joshua since his arrival some 11 years ago has on numerous occasions gone from being possibly the greatest ever to a complete bum and then back again and so forth.

A few fights ago Dubois was said to be finished after that shambles against Lerena and uninspiring finishes against Joyce and Usyk.

Now he's suddenly most people's no 2 or 3.

Well that was my quandary :witzend:
One is on the up, and the other on the slide. Parker is way better now than he was when they fought, and over the last 6+ years Joshua got better then started to slide. If they fought again I'd give Parker the edge on a points win I probably don't want to watch

No.

We are voting only for the position of Joshua and Dubois.

When Okolie fights at heavyweight there will be a vote on him.

I know right. DDD is suddenly a king of this heavyweight ant hill. Among his weapons is a mean head butt and low blow.
