I never said I rated Bruno as one of the best to ever do it, he clearly wasn’t.

Of course he’s known for his losses, but he also had qualities that are too often dismissed. Some folk on here would probably argue that the Romford Bull would have got the better of him.
No one ever said you claimed Bruno was one of the best :TU: But you do say he’d say he’d take Joshua to the cleaners…. It’s not impossible Bruno could bang Joshua on the chin but to suggest he’s way worse than Bruno and Frank would destroy him doesn’t hold water. Joshua’s best wins are superior to Bruno’s and AJ fought many of them in their prime.

Joshua is a level above Bruno. I’d give Bruno a chance definitely but would make AJ the favourite.

As for the Romford Bull, it’s a bit early to say…..but he has some potential :TU:
So maybe be more clear on what it means to “rate Bruno” :TU:

I think it’s a given that Bruno would have banged Joshua on the chin, with more to follow. Maybe AJ would have shrugged it off, he does live for nights like this after all. He said so.

Fisher on the other hand, nah.. just nah
I very much doubt AJ would have done half as well against Lewis as Bruno did.

Only a punchers chance imho. Which he’d have.

Lewis had a bad night, Bruno had his best night but still got mullered. Joshua at his best against a sub par Lewis would’ve done well imo.

It all depends which Lewis was in the ring. Lewis had some poor and unspectacular performances even though he’s definitely an ATG

Depends which Lewis. The Lewis that struggled against Mercer? Only stopped Jean Chanet on a cut in 6? Who went 8 rounds with cruiser Ossie Ocasio, distance with Tony Tucker, Levi Billups? Got Kod by McCall and Rahman?

Lewis at his best might stop AJ early but a confident Joshua is still dangerous and no Michael Grant

While clearly no where near the best of his day , Bruno did c ompete in an era , when in my opinion anyway there were better boxers around than the crop we have now , and above all he was up there and pretty good , stiff , lumbering and a lot of other things , but he was still pretty good , i think becoming a bit of a clown harmed his image has a boxer , but you can't take away the fact he would of beat most of todays heavyweights . , would of struggled with some lost to others , but still he would of been up there with the best of the current crop

Wilder would probably pay more worldwide, Fury pays much more anywhere.

AJ could make as much money elsewhere, Wilder for example,

Dubois could probably make the money against Usyk but no where else.

DDD has a much better chance of beating AJ than Uysk

Got to disagree James.
Frank was too brave for his own good.
I’m not saying he was so great. I’m saying he is so derided. So much so that folks on websites mock him.
No. Frank was very good. In an era of proper fighters.
How would AJ fare against Tim, Lennox, Tyson? Against Bonecrusher Smith.
Tbh I think The Late Gary Mason takes his head off.
Respect James. But I disagree mate 👍
That's fine mate, noting wrong with disagreeing.

Smith, I think Smith was just a big lump really, big puncher, similar to Dubois, but bigger and stronger if anything.

Tim Witherspoon blew hot and cold, good fighter, cagey, but also not in the best of shape often.

Lennox is cut above everybody around right now.

Mason, interesting call, Mason had a hell of a chin, and serious firepower, easy to see him flattening AJ down the stretch.

Frank was very brave, but when he got hurt, he turned into a statue, would just stand there shipping punishment.

A peak AJ, maybe just a slight favourite over Frank in his prime, not a lot in it for me,

As I said earlier, Joshua would be lucky to crack top 20 of all time, and probably lower, as he only has a handful of good wins in a pretty weak era.
Top 20 is extremely generous. He's 28-4 in a weak era where he has had all the advantages known to man and bever boxed his main rivals! Forget the fact I'm a Fury fan, I've been constantly saying this since BEFORE the Olympics.
he fought the best hw of his generation (lost like fury) and the best hw of the previous generation (won like fury). a guy like wilder didnt do either and you still get raging hard for him, i wonder why

you mention the ring rankings, and joshua is also the only guy ranked to have fought at least 3 of the top 4. along with loads of other guys who've been ranked in their top 10

Going to have to push back on this mate. The Lewis from all those fights chins AJ. Everyone you mentioned has a better chin than Joshua.

Lewis at his worst still had his natural talent. He got by 1989-1994 on pure natural talent while hampered by ego & bad trainers. The idea of Joshua pulling off the Oliver McCall kamikaze KO is laughable. McCall had the chin & survival instincts to survive 1000 rounds against prime Tyson -- I doubt Joshua would have lasted one spar session against 80s Tyson. The telegraphed right hands LL was lobbing v McCall would have found Joshua -- McCall had a deep background in avoiding punches.

Daniel Dubois vs Anthony Joshua rematch date revealed

His Excellency Turki Alalshikh has told boxing fans to mark their calendars for a Daniel Dubois vs Anthony Joshua 2 rematch.

The date has been pencilled in for February 22, 2025, with the venue yet to be decided.

Their first fight was held at Wembley Stadium in front of a record audience of over 96,000, however the rerun is expected to take place in Saudi Arabia.

Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) was the underdog going into the fight as the defending IBF World heavyweight champion against challenger Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs), who was expected to become a three-time world champion on September 21.

Instead, 27-year-old Dubois dropped him in the first round, then again in the third, fourth and fifth. It was a counter right hook that ended the bout 59 seconds into the fifth, with AJ unable to get back to his feet in time to beat the referee’s count.

Now 34, Joshua has lost four from his last 10 bouts and is only ranked IBF #8, WBO #7, IBO #5.

Some fight fans would prefer to see Dubois defend against a higher-ranked contender, such as IBF #3 Agit Kabayel or IBF #4 Martin Bakole.

Although the top choice is Joseph Parker (35-3, 23KO), who defeated Zhilei Zhang on points in March to become the WBO World Interim champion.

With Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk 2 set for December 21 for all the other belts, it means that an undisputed match between the winners will not take place until the middle of next year at the earliest.
