Biggest non-idiots in British boxing

Post by keithmoonhangover »

In response to the other thread. The opposite of idiot is genius, but that's not what I mean. Who are the guys you like listening to, respect or share opinions with.

Dave Allen. Smart self starter/promotor and investor. Made a heck of a lot from not a lot and used it wisely. Also had a lucrative trade to fall back on as a plan B.

Other Thread was easy , Spencer just came right out at me , , and when mentioned the other clown Garath Wanker jumped in my face , , Jeez i'd like to give him a left hook

This ones hard , theres so many good ones i like listening too , , supose because he cAme to mind straight away , i've got to say Dom Ingle ,, he can be a bit condescending of others who have not been in the sport for years , thinks they have no opinions worth listening too , but overall very knoladgable chap who tells it like it is , yound mcguigan talks sence has well. I also like , wait for it . Chris Eubank , and after his performance the other day , i'm taking a shine to Chris Jnr . , They know there worth and refuse to cowtail . bow down and be used . good on them

I like Don Charles.

Shane Fury, while almost painfully inarticulate and repetitive in speech, seems like he knows what he's talking about even if he can barely get the words out of his mouth. Perhaps not the best example :maybe:

Caroline Dubois. I'm a massive fan after her interview the other day. Intelligent, driven and powerful under the most difficult circumstances.

Gary Lockett - incredibly perceptive and knowledgeable, articulate and a top notch trainer with a great career as a boxer behind him

Carl Greaves - workhorse promoter now and all round good guy who knows the game inside out and used to have a cracking left hook back in the day too

Chris Billam Smith - perfect ambassador for boxers. Speaks well, honest and respects the sport. Carries himself well and a true professional

Yep Barry's brilliant, and doesn't just toe the party line like nearly all other pundits.

Barry Jones and Carl Frampton good calls and great commentators etc

Joe Calzaghe always seemed decent. Not interested in show biz etc. No real idea what he’s doing now?

What do you mean a trade to fall back on? I don't think Dave Allen's ever worked apart from boxing and boxing-related stuff.
