I have a feeling that 'retired' Mall Charlo somehow would get in that position of being mandatory for Canelo's title and of course get a payday vs Canelo, before fighting Plant in a 'vendetta' boxing match.

I wonder who Mall is gonna fight in his first fight at 168?

Since it's going to take even more money than His Excellency has at his disposal to induce Canelo to fight Benavidez, it's safe to assume that he will continue to ignore any trivial concerns such as mandatories.
He will, instead continue to top up his vast fortune in the safest manner possible at the expense of his loyal but rather gullible fans.

If Mall gets that interim wbc smw title, Canelo would fight him. The Benavidez fight would probably happen at 168 and with a rehydration clause.Thomastearns wrote: ↑29 Sep 2024, 06:41 Since it's going to take even more money than His Excellency has at his disposal to induce Canelo to fight Benavidez, it's safe to assume that he will continue to ignore any trivial concerns such as mandatories.
