He was our big hope to win gold at Super HW in the Olympics but then lost his first fight.

He's obviously good but loses a few on the international circuit.

really interesting heritage/background too, born in Russia, Nigerian dad, raised in England from 7. Good trio of marketing angles. Clever lad, got a degree in economics. And WWE is probably a better/easier living than boxing. Good am record English, CW and Euro champion, but no guarantee of pro success. I'd be interested to know if he's been offered a proper salaried WWE contractual offer or a place in their developmental territories. He's 6'6" so definitely big enough for WWE.

WWE is a much, much harder career and a lot harder to get to the top, apparently.

I think it used to be, wrestling over 200 days a year, I think the exposes about the PEDS, painkillers and wider addiction issues, alongside the McMahon debacle has in recent years made it a gentler ride once you are there. IF you get there. There is more light shone on the excesses of it now.

The guy who won the olympic gold medal for wrestling didn't make it, not an easy way to make a living especially for someone new to the game

He went to AEW after they first formed.

He returned in April this year.

I don’t know anything about wrestling, I’m of an age where I watched Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks on a Saturday morning. Agogo is on Celebrity SAS at the mo and he’s a right lump

Back in the day, each month at the Royal Albert Hall was boxing on Tuesday followed by wrestling the next night, used to love going to both

delicious, wonder what the parents were thinking there

tbh i find his style rather hard to watch, uses his length and movement in a negative way, doesnt really set to punch. but cleary a tricky guy and maybe he will be more aggressive as a pro

The fast right cross will take care of the usual fodder he will be served, but apart from his speed I'm not seeing something that sets the world alight.

I’d imagine he will very quickly be in a
Collision course with this 6ft7 guy who’s having his second fight this weekend. He looked bloody tasty on his debut.

Orie isn't good. He will be put on a spree of KOing cans and hyped but then exposed the first time he steps up.

Would he beat Dave Allen over 10?

I feel he's made a mistake in not signing with the WWE.

He'd have joined them off the bat of a decent amateur career with the face/heel push that he had the potential to be a champion, so if he falls short as a pro he'll lose that road back.

I imagine so as Allen can't string punches together after 3-4 rounds and has to spend those 3-4 rounds shipping punches. Fisher is just so completely awful that he couldn't beat Allen without a robbery but Orie should have enough to get past Allen but that's not saying much. I'd take Jay McFarlane and Kash Ali to beat Allen.
