Going with Beterbiev with a stoppage win.

Age is real and I'd be leaning on Bivol if I hadn't seen him empty the tank against Lyndon Arthur and not do any real damage.

I just don't think Bivol hits hard enough. He's a mid-range and long-range volume puncher but not that crafty up close.

Meanwhile up close Beterbiev is a monster. He's ambidextrous and throws these straight, short punches that are deadly. He sometimes will use his right hand to nudge his opponents head and throw a short straight left or left uppercut and vice versa. It's masterful.

I genuinely think Beterbiev, along with Usyk, is one of the best of this generation and all time great level.

Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol undercard to air on DAZN in North America

North American viewers won’t need to pay anything more than their existing subscriptions to catch all of next week’s Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol Riyadh Season show. DAZN announced that the entire undercard will air on their standard site, no PPV required.

That said, at $15 compared to DAZN’s $19.99 monthly price, it’s cheaper to buy the PPV than to start a new DAZN subscription.

The featured attraction sees Fabio Wardley meet Frazer Clarke in a rematch of their grueling March draw. Chris Eubank Jr also makes his return against Kamil Szeremeta and Jai Opetaia defends his IBF title against Jack Massey ahead of an ordered mandatory. Ben Whittaker and Skye Nicholson see action as well.

The main event airs on ESPN+ stateside.

As I’ve said before, it’s a profoundly goofy arrangement. I’m not going to complain, though; I’d much rather have these sorts of options than a one-time $70-$80 investment for a card of similar quality.

Can't believe this fights actually happening, I can't pick a winner, can see Bivol outboxing Beterbiev but can see Beterbiev getting to him as well, siding with Beterbiev catching up with Bivol late

The younger man wins I think, he is immaculate. What he did to Alvarez is very underrated. I'm going to be on a fornicating flight and will miss it.

Bert wins as long as his mobility isn't hampered by the knee injury. His superb footwork normally controls his fights

Don't forget what he did to Ramirez as well. That was a terrific performance

Yep, shame their primes didn't quite line up for this fight. Still LHW fight of the decade so far :box:

Assuming the knee injury plays no further part, I’m sticking with the guy who can do the damage.

Bert might be an older fighter, but he doesn’t fight like one.

Beterbiev's training regime is immense.

Reminds me a bit of myself in my prime. Still, I'm going with Bivol for a 10th round stoppage

You WILL NOT be able to watch the Beterbiev vs Bivol fight on DAZN or on the pay-per-view. That fight is exclusive to ESPN+ in the United States.

You also WILL NOT be able to watch the Beterbiev vs Bivol undercard on the ESPN+ broadcast.

The undercard — featuring Wardley vs Clarke 2, Chris Eubank Jr’s return, Opetaia vs Massey, Nicolson vs Chapman, and more — as part of your DAZN subscription. It will NOT cost extra on top of your DAZN sub to watch it on DAZN. This is all very dumb rights stuff, but that’s how it lays out.

Now if you’re in the UK, it looks like the show is a PPV period, so this DAZN/ESPN+ split only applies in the United States.

It's excellent

I'm just unsure about this one. At first I thought Bivol on points...then I changed to Beterbiev by late onslaught, wearing down a points lead of Bivol...now I...just don't know 🤷‍♂️
I'm thinking Beterbiev again after Bivol's ex-wife listed all his injuries.

It's not just a 50/50 on who wins, but I think it's a 50/50 on how it's won- points or K/TKO by either fighter.
Fairly rare to be this up in the air on such a massive unification fight.

I've always thought Bivol would win this, and am actually getting more confident of that pick as the fight gets closer, whereas usually I doubt myself in the final week. Probably means Bert will batter him

Missy Elliott announced for Riyadh Season

The iconic hip-hop artist Missy Elliott will headline the opening of Riyadh’s 2024 season. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 12, led by the undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship clash between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol at the Kingdom Arena.

Elliott, a multiple Grammy Award winner, will perform her biggest hits. Songs like “Get Ur Freak On,” “Work It,” and “The Rain” will be part of her setlist. This event is part of her “Out of This World – The Missy Elliott Experience” tour, her first headlining tour in over 25 years.

Since her 1997 debut with the album “Supa Dupa Fly,” Missy Elliott has been an influential figure in rap and hip-hop. Her work broke barriers, making her one of the first women to stand out in a predominantly male genre. Her impact was officially recognized last year when she became the first female rapper inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Surprise Guests at the Concert

She won’t be alone on this grand night. Missy Elliott will share the stage with some of her most iconic collaborators. Pop superstar Ciara and hip-hop legend Busta Rhymes, who are also on tour with Elliott, will join the event. Their participation has raised fans’ expectations for this season opener.

Additionally, rumors suggest that producer Timbaland, Elliott’s close friend since high school, might join the concert. Timbaland is also part of Missy Elliott’s current tour, making his participation in the ceremony highly possible. If confirmed, this would add an epic touch to Saturday’s event.
