He swung from the fences a few times previous.
Absolutely great call from JG .

Bit strange that stoppage but Massey was definitely on the way out, took a slow sustained beating, landed a few here and there but Opetaia won everything, was targeting the body all the time, just used the backhand, didn't jab at all , was landing right hooks as the rounds progressed and Massey just looked more and more weary every passing round, tough and durable is Massey , took his lumps but was saved from a nailed on KO

I noticed this too. Something changed and it was clearly over. was hoping it wasn't something worse

After an unspectacular 2 rounds Opetaia just lifted a gear. Looked great.

good enough to give usyk a closer fight than AJ and fury. briadis would of been a top 5 heavyweight if thats the div he picked.

I know what you’re saying but while Massey was having a bright start to each round, the second halfs were getting worse. He looked pretty well finished there.

Is Opetaia big enough for heavyweight? Looks a real talent.

I think his corner made the right call - but I feel a bit robbed of a stoppage which was coming !

I was thinking this again - similar height Evander Holyfield managed it with a bit of help from Evan Fields (allegedly), so it's possible.

he is heavyweight ready. when top class cruisers go to heavy (if they stay fit and active) they nearly always have sucsess.

not saying he can do a usyk and go undisputed heavyweight. but he can be a seriouse player.

That's why they fixed it for the Saudi woman to win.

Are they up for fighting each other? Never heard either mention the other but what an event that could be on that side of the world.
