There's been much worse scoring than this but it seems like now the Muslim boxers get the nod in Saudi...just my thoughts

Poor Bivol. All class, even though you can see he felt he won the fight.
He gave it his all and came up short. Must sting hard.

No he wasn’t. You have to distinguish the confidence based on power/chin and technical superiority, better defence, winning exchanges, winning rounds (Bivol). There’s absolutely no fking chance Bet won more rounds.

Both are great fighters. Thought 4 rounds for Beterbiev was harsh but seeing as I am a fan of both, happy to see it again.

Four-weight world champion Claressa Shields on X: "Hmm this fight didn’t live up to the hype to me: 114-114, 113-114, 115-112. ………. Beterbiev!!!!

Very difficult fight to score IMO. A lot of shots blocked, parried or closely missed. Bert came forward, Bivol mixed it up. Very tough fight to score.

I'm fine with the decision.

I thought Bivol fought negative at times and didn't do much in the championship rounds. He also had a massive black eye.

It's one of them I'd have been convinced Bert was dominating if I saw it in glimpses walking past a telly.

Certainly later on he was physically imposing, with the eminent feeling he could wipe Bivol out if he overreached. But in its entirety I scored more rounds to Bivol, cos that's boxing. I'd agree Bert won the fight, as it were.

You can tell from Beterbiev post fight he feels fortunate, he looked more dejected than Bivol

I like both of them, but no way did Artur win 8 rounds.

I looked at it 8/1 and was like.....it's not that ridiculous. Never pulled trigger though, was biggest outsider bet of all outcomes

Exactly my thoughts. Skills didn’t get rewarded.
Kadyrov pulled some strings.
x3.

If I'd seen him there I'd have guessed Bivol was getting stiffed.
Yeah it was close and boxing is subjective, but Biv went back to his corner most rounds looking happy, Bert the opposite.
At the end, Biv ran to his corner who hugged him and lifted him up jubilantly - it wasn't kidology.
Bert walked back to HIS corner with a look of, "I just couldn't get to him".

Not a robbery but a bad decision.
And I bet Bert points !

Best fight I watched in quite a while, the level of technical ability off the charts. Surely a rematch to come hopefully.

I think a draw is fair. Beterbiev was being a bit underrated on commentary. He definitely controlled the centre of the ring and was more aggressive.
