I missed last nights edition. Enjoyed the opener though. It really made a rollercoaster of emotions. I'm sure most wanted to see the "underdog" comethrough and flattern that big mouth of Clark's - but when he mentioned to story of his poor childhood with his trainer now adopting him - made me feel a bit sorry to see Clark go.

Having said that, there were some aspects of the show that I enjoyed less than in series one - like the sound effect in the punches during the fight. The editing of the fights were a huge criticsm of series 1, but was as bad if not worse in the opener this time.

Also, I still think it would be better if they got rid of this team spirit malarky (last year it was east vs west, now its even worse with blue vs yellow) - everyone is there for themselves and thats how it should be.

I still see Stallone is involved as a producer, but was wandering were was he on screen.

I was under the impression that all the bout results contributed to the boxers professional records. If that has got nothing to do with real boxing then I am a Dutch man.

Nice to see Peter Manfredo and Joey Gilbert (NABO champion) doing okay in "proper" boxing fights from series one.

Only these two and series one winner, Mora, are in the top 15 in at least one of the four sanctioning bodies.

one thing that bugs me about the contender is that they can't seem to get fighters that are all from the same weight division - they have fighters who although weigh about the same at weigh ins vary in natural weight from superfeather(eg.steve forbes) to lightmiddle(bundrage). Its stupid. No wonder clark(a career lightweight) had trouble getting to bundrage.

Anyone else find Sergio Mora's comments at ringside annoying?

Hope K9 KO's Walter Wright.

Oh yeah - drives me mad... whenever the camera pans to Mora sitting next to boyfriend Leonard and utters his 'insightful' comments it drives me mad.

I seriously hope K9 blasts wright also.

It shouldn't be for has beens or never will be's who are looking to pick up retirement cheques.
I bet Forbes can't believe his luck going from fighting top fighters for real titles having chump change, to being able to pick up $1 million against boxers a few leagues below.
That's a good point.

I've always found it strange that this was the case too. :-?
